STILLWATER, Okla. \u2013\u00a0The Saint Joseph’s women’s tennis team split a pair of matches against Oral Roberts on Friday, rallying to come from behind and take the first before falling in the second.

\nHOW IT HAPPENED
\n\u2022 The Hawks got off to a string start by claiming the doubles point with wins in the second and third flights.\u00a0 Elena Fleming<\/a> and June Tronhus<\/a> rolled in the second, while Valeria Casusol<\/a> teamed with Amari O’Brien<\/a> for her first win in the Crimson and Gray in the third.

\n\u2022 The Golden Eagles took the first two completed singles matches to grab the lead.\u00a0 Wiktoria Czerny<\/a> then finished off her top-flight opponent in straight sets to level the score.
\n\u00a0
\n\u2022 Oral Roberts nosed back in front and to the brink of the overall victory, but Casusol finished off her opponent in the second flight to once again tie the score.
\n\u00a0
\n\u2022 O’Brien won the first set of her sixth-flight tilt before falling in the second to set up a winner-take-all third set; she then took control and eased to a 6-2 win to claim the comeback victory for the Hawks.

\n\u2022 The Golden Eagles claimed the doubles point this time and then took the first two completed singles matches to take a commanding lead.

\n\u2022 Czerny got the Hawks on the board in the second match, winning once again in straight sets in the top flight, but Oral Roberts put things away with one more singles victory.
