The punk band have announced the release of a feature length documentary, titled 40 Years of Fuckin\u2019 Up, that will detail their storied history as drug-addled teen punks-turned-icons. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tOn Friday, founding member Fat Mike revealed that 40 Years of Fuckin\u2019 Up is in post production while at The Punk Rock Museum\u2019s NOFX exhibition. \u201cMost people wouldn\u2019t be OK with releasing a film that shows footage of getting whipped in their dungeon, or their drug use for the past 20 years, or dressing up like a rubber cheap whore, or the ambulance ride when they were naked while puking and shitting blood\u2026 I\u2019m not like most people,\u201d Fat Mike said in a statement.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tIn the official trailer for the documentary, Fat Mike is seen doing all of those crazy things, but the doc\u2019s focus is all-encompassing. Directed by James Buddy Day, 40 Years of Fuckin\u2019 Up features interviews with fellow NOFX band members guitarist Eric Melvin, lead guitarist Aaron \u2018El Hefe\u2019 Abeyta, and drummer Erik Sandin. All three band members will serve as executive producers along with Gary Ousdahl,\u00a0James Buddy Day, Cisco Adler,\u00a0and\u00a0Jon Nadeau\u00a0for Pyramid Productions.<\/p>\n<p>\t\tTrending Stories<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tThe documentary will also yield new NOFX music, which can only be heard by attending a showing of the film. Sneak peek screenings will be offered in Austin, Texas from March 15 to March 16 at Brushy Street Commons. After that, 40 Years of Fuckin\u2019 Up will be screened at curated theaters worldwide, starting in April. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.40yearsoffuckinup.com\/tickets\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Tickets<\/a> will be available starting Feb. 20.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\t\u201cWorking with Fat Mike, the band, and the entire NOFX crew has been like nothing I\u2019ve ever experienced,\u201d Buddy Day said in a statement. \u201cThis is the punkest band ever \u2014 and their story is exactly as insane as you\u2019d expect: hilarious, painful, reckless, and deeply human,\u201d he said, adding, \u201cDigging through decades of footage, I saw things I\u2019ll never unsee \u2014 but that honesty is what makes this film essential.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"NOFX are about to get inside your head \u2014 all over again.
