Pictures<\/p>\n<p>Warner Bros. Pictures has set Jorge R. Guti\u00e9rrez as director of an animated feature centered on the classic Looney Tunes character Speedy Gonzales reports <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/movies\/movie-news\/speedy-gonzales-movie-jorge-r-gutierrez-direct-warner-bros-1236475758\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">THR<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Guti\u00e9rrez himself previously teased the possibility on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DRxY45pkkKN\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Instagram<\/a> last month, posting a photo of himself holding a Speedy Gonzales figurine and adding: \u201cGuess what movie I might be developing at Warner Brothers Pictures Animation.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Guti\u00e9rrez co-created Emmy-winning series such as \u201cEl Tigre: The Adventures of Manny Rivera\u201d and \u201cMaya and the Three\u201d along with the 2014 film \u201cThe Book of Life\u201d, which Guillermo del Toro produced.<\/p>\n<p>Story details are under wraps, and a writer has not yet been announced.
