Hull City expect to be able to unveil Yu Hirakawa and Toby Collyer as January signings after agreeing deals with Bristol City and Manchester United, respectively.<\/p>\n
Manager Sergej Jakirovic revealed both transfers were close to completion with the deal for former Bristol City utility man Hirakawa already pending a medical.<\/p>\n
Collyer is also poised to move, from Manchester United, and will have a medical sometime this weekend ahead of joining up with the Tigers officially on Monday.<\/p>\n
“With Yu Hirakawa I think we agree everything with Bristol [City] and after a medical check on Sunday he will have a press conference and he will be our player,” Jakirovic told BBC Radio Humberside.<\/p>\n
“He brings speed, good technique, more options. He can play right, left, winger or wing back \u2013 everything. <\/p>\n
“There is a chance he could be involved on Tuesday [against Preston at Deepdale] as he is ready and in good shape and he is in full training.<\/p>\n
“With Toby Collyer we are waiting but I think we have a green light from Man United and I think he will join us on Monday. <\/p>\n
“This is what I know but we have agreed everything with Man United. He will have a medical this weekend. He is now ready for training.”<\/p>\n
Hirakawa made what appears likely to be the last of 60 league appearances for Bristol City when coming on as a second half substitute in the goalless draw with Oxford United on Saturday.<\/p>\n
