Till ripped the fight<\/a>, and the fighters, saying he left the fight early, and that he \u201cunlearned\u201d things about fighting. DeMoor reacted to Till\u2019s comments.<\/p>\n\u201cI like Darren Till, like, he\u2019s a nice guy in person,\u201d DeMoor told MMA Fighting. \u201cI think he talks a lot of shit. He waffles a lot, and I know he\u2019s trying to get a big fight because that\u2019s what he does. In the middle of the fight with Andrew, I was looking at him ringside, and I was like kind of smiling at him and having a little talk in the middle of the fight, because the thing is with Darren Til, Darren Till wanted the Andrew Tate fight. He was going on podcasts saying he got it, this and that.<\/p>\n
\u201cAnd, you know, Mams goes on there and goes, \u2018Oh, well, I need two pay-per-view stars. I don\u2019t want you guys to fight.\u2019 The thing is, Darren Till, I watched go six rounds in boxing with Anthony Taylor. Anthony Taylor is somebody who I beat up in like one or two rounds, so if Darren Till wants that fight, Darren Till can have that fight with me. OK. But it\u2019s going to turn out the exact same way as the Andrew fight \u2014 everybody\u2019s going to have his side and say, \u2018Oh, it\u2019s Darren Till and this and that, and blah blah blah\u2019, and then I\u2019m going to get in there and we\u2019re going to fight, and it\u2019s going to be an ugly fight, like I always make it an ugly fight, and we\u2019re going to get out there and everybody\u2019s going to say how bad Darren Till looks.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019ve done this, this walk a million times, and I have all the respect in the world for Darren Till, but I\u2019m going to tell him that I don\u2019t think that\u2019s a fight you should take. It did get offered to me. Mams did call me up and say it is a potential fight for next year, and I just kind of basically explained to him, I\u2019m like, \u2018Listen, if you want stars, you got to stop sending them to me\u2019. Everything that I do is focused on that. If you look at size ,matchups alone, this isn\u2019t MMA. Darren Till doesn\u2019t have kicks and grapples and all this and that. He\u2019s got to throw punches with a guy with a 90 inch reach. I don\u2019t think it\u2019s going to pan out for him. It hasn\u2019t panned out for anybody else. And if Darren is the first guy to beat me,then so be it, but I just, I don\u2019t see it happening. so that\u2019s my opinion on that.\u201d<\/p>\n
DeMoor has been on a tear over the past couple of years, going 10-0-1 since January 2024, including capturing the Misfits heavyweight title and successfully defending it twice \u2014 including the win over Tate in December.<\/p>\n
Becoming a rising star in the promotion, DeMoor understands why Misfits would want to make a matchup between he and Till. But for \u201cMr. Belt to Ass,\u201d there are other names that make more sense, and that get him more excited, including a surprising name in the heavyweight MMA landscape.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere\u2019s a lot of people that make more sense,\u201d DeMoor explained. \u201cObviously if it makes money, it makes sense. I wouldn\u2019t fight Darren Till for cheap just because it\u2019s a big fight. I would say, for me, like I want to focus on building my own career and my own path, and I think that, you know, Misfits needs a couple superstars. It doesn\u2019t make sense for Misfits to just have one guy. Like if I go in there and I beat Darren Hill, then who else on Misfits is coming to beat me? And vice versa. If he beats me, it\u2019s like, who\u2019s beating Darren Till? We\u2019ve already beat the top guys, and I think that it\u2019s important, too. I like the superfight idea, but I think it\u2019s important to to build each individual person so that there\u2019s more events and there\u2019s more excitement behind it.<\/p>\n
\u201cTommy Fury would be a great fight for me. That\u2019s kind of where I want to go in the direction of boxing. And if it\u2019s not Tommy Fury, then we want another big name. I told everybody leading up to the fight that I wanted to switch over to the pro division fully, vacate the influencer title, and fight real boxers, and I\u2019m very serious about that, and I think that most of the year I\u2019ve spent in other countries fighting anyways.<\/p>\n
\u201cYou see guys like Anthony Joshua fighting Jake Paul. I don\u2019t know if I\u2019m at that level, but I definitely want to get in there with somebody that\u2019s going to test me. I think Francis Ngannou would be fun. I think that, obviously, like a Nate Diaz, me and him have had back and forth before, would be a fun fight. I think there\u2019s a lot of opportunity for me out there, even, even the Tate rematch is, is still on the table, and I, you know, there\u2019s, there\u2019s so many options other than Darren Hill.<\/p>\n
Many would hear DeMoor say Ngannou\u2019s name and question it, especially considering Ngannou\u2019s run as UFC heavyweight champion, as one of the top heavyweight fighters in the sport, along with sharing the squared circle with Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua.<\/p>\n
DeMoor is well aware of the dangers Ngannou presents, which is the very reason why he wants the fight so much.<\/p>\n
\u201cI watched him fight Tyson and I watched him fight, AJ, and I was taking a picture with Francis \u2014 like, we\u2019re the same size,\u201d DeMoor explained. \u201cI just like my odds. I want to get tested, and I think that I haven\u2019t been tested. This is the first fight, you know with Andrewt, the first fight I went the distance in in quite some time, and even then, it was very lopsided. I beat him four rounds to two.<\/p>\n
\u201cSo, I don\u2019t know. I want to get tested. I want to have a hard camp. I want to get in there and I want to go to that place. You ever heard like Terrence Crawford, he talks about how he said the world never really got to see him at his full potential. It\u2019s just like, I think that I need to go to a place where my full potential gets brought out of me, or I get knocked out.
