The Cavaliers said further evaluation and imaging on Saturday revealed a Grade 1 sprain. The seventh-year guard will be reevaluated in seven to 10 days as he undergoes treatment.<\/p>\n<p lang=\"zxx\" dir=\"ltr\"><a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/RoAfWFdwSr\" rel=\"nofollow\">pic.twitter.com\/RoAfWFdwSr<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Cleveland Cavaliers (@cavs) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/cavs\/status\/2012981596257657279?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">January 18, 2026<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The two-time All-Star has missed 16 games this season due to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nba.com\/news\/pg-darius-garland-makes-season-debut-for-cleveland-cavaliers\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">a nagging injury<\/a> to his left great toe, which he struggled with during the closing month of last season and the playoffs. Garland had <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nba.com\/news\/cavs-darius-garland-toe-surgery\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">surgery on the toe<\/a> during the offseason.<\/p>\n<p>Garland is averaging 20.2 points and 7.4 assists over this last 16 games. He was shooting 50.4% from the floor and made 42 of 100 3-pointers.<\/p>\n<p>The Cavaliers have been plagued by injuries all season.
