Former McLaren and Haas F1 driver Kevin Magnussen has quipped that he is \u201chonoured\u201d to learn that he plays \u201cthe bad guy\u201d in the Brad Pitt F1 movie.<\/p>\n
And he has revealed that he has yet to watch the 2025 blockbuster despite the film proving a hit.<\/p>\n

Add us as a preferred source on Google<\/a> to your favourites list for news you can trust<\/p>\n Magnussen, who famously claimed a podium finish on his F1 debut, made 185 grand prix starts for the likes of McLaren, Renault and Haas between 2014 and 2024.<\/p>\n The Danish driver has turned to endurance racing since losing his Haas seat at the end of 2024, competing for BMW in the World Endurance Championship and the US-based IMSA series last year.<\/p>\n Magnussen also competed in the Spa 24 Hours race, sharing a car with MotoGP legend Valentino Rossi and Rene Rast. The trio finished 10th in class at the Belgian Grand Prix venue.<\/p>\n Kevin Magnussen legacy lives on as with Haas driver top of F1 disciplinary chart<\/p>\n F1 penalty points: Fresh penalties leaves one driver perilously close to race ban<\/a><\/p>\n How to become an F1 driver: Money, dedication, talent and more<\/a><\/p>\n The 33-year-old was renowned for his tough and uncompromising approach in battle during his F1 career, with Magnussen becoming the first driver to be banned under F1\u2019s current penalty points system in 2024.<\/p>\n Magnussen\u2019s combative approach is reflected in the film \u2013 production of which was carried out during the final years of his F1 career \u2013 in which he is at the heart of some of the on-track drama involving Sonny Hayes, the lead character played by Pitt.<\/p>\n Put to him that he is portrayed as \u201cconstantly running into\u201d Hayes, an amused Magnussen revealed that he is yet to watch the movie.<\/p>\n In a clip posted to social media by\u00a0David Land<\/a>, Magnussen said: \u201cI haven\u2019t watched it! I can\u2019t really comment.<\/p>\n \u201cBut I\u2019ve heard that I\u2019m the bad guy to Brad Pitt, so I think that\u2019s an honour.
