A male teenager has died at Jerrabomberra Waterhole despite the efforts of a bystander to keep him alive.<\/p>\n
A NSW Police spokesperson said emergency services were called at about 2:05 pm on Monday (19 January) to Waterfall Drive, Jerrabomberra, following reports there was a male teenager seriously injured at the bottom of a cliff.<\/p>\n
\u201cA member of the public commenced CPR before NSW Ambulance arrived; however, he died at the scene,\u201d they said.<\/p>\n
A local who lives near the waterhole and has been in Jerrabomberra for more than two decades said his son ran down to the area when he saw the ambulances arrive on scene.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere have been several incidents over the years with people slipping and diving off those rocks, but I\u2019m not aware of any fatalities,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cMy son went down to see what the commotion was as police arrived and were clearing people from the area.<\/p>\n
\u201cA tarp was taken down while police cordoned off the area.\u201d<\/p>\n
No further police action will be taken.<\/p>\n
A report will be prepared for the coroner.<\/p>\n
