Official figures confirmed on Monday that China\u2019s economy grew at exactly 5 per cent in 2025, meeting the target set a year ago by the government, and confirming the initial estimate provided by President Xi Jinping on New Year\u2019s Eve.<\/p>\n<p>Economist Zichun Huang of Capital Economics reckons the notoriously rubbery official numbers wildly overstate the pace of growth, which is likely closer to 3.5 per cent.
