David\ufeff and Hayley’s ‘toothbrush-gate’<\/p>\n

After learning that wife Hayley Vernon<\/a> had got a little flirty with another 2020 groom, \ufeffDavid Cannon<\/a> did the unthinkable: he rubbed Hayley’s toothbrush against the toilet bowl and put it back.<\/p>\n

Dis. Gus. Ting.\ufeff<\/p>\n

David had stupidly filmed himself doing it and sent the video to the grooms\ufeff, so of course it was only a matter of time before Hayley found out about it.<\/p>\n

Incredibly, Hayley still chose to write “stay” at the next Commitment Ceremony but toothbrush-gate proved too much for the experts, who told them they needed to leave the experiment immediately.<\/p>\n

Martha and Cyrell’s Dinner Party showdown<\/p>\n

The feud between season 6’s\ufeff Martha Kalifatidis<\/a> and Cyrell Paule<\/a> has gone down in MAFS history.<\/p>\n

It began with a smashed fruit bowl when Cyrell confronted Martha, who was mid-skincare routine at the time, over comments she’d made to her husband Nic Jovanovic.<\/p>\n

And it only got worse\ufeff during the Reunion Dinner Party when Cyrell insulted Martha’s husband Michael Brunelli<\/a>, leading Martha to stand up and pour her wine all over Cyrell.<\/p>\n

Cyrell had to be held back as she chased Martha around the table and threw her wine back over her.<\/p>\n

Martha apologised later in the night but safe to say, Cyrell did not accept it whatsoever:<\/p>\n

Davina and Dean’s cheating scandal<\/p>\n

Before there was Ines and Sam<\/a>, Carolina and Daniel<\/a> and many, many others, there was Davina and Dean \u2013 MAFS’ original partner swap.<\/p>\n

What a legacy!<\/p>\n

It all went down in 2018’s Season 5, when Davina Rankin<\/a> and Dean Wells<\/a> managed to find time away from partners Tracey Jewel<\/a> and Ryan Gallagher<\/a>.<\/p>\n

They originally planned to ditch their matches and continue the experiment together, but Dean\ufeff blindsided Davina by revealing the affair at a Commitment Ceremony and begging Tracey for forgiveness.<\/p>\n

Since then, cheating scandals have become much more common … but never less dramatic.\ufeff<\/p>\n

Jack’s ‘muzzle’ comments<\/p>\n

It’s a high bar, but they’re potentially the three most scandalous words uttered at a MAFS Dinner Party: “Muzzle your woman”.<\/p>\n

Bride Lauren Dunn<\/a> had just called Jack Dunkley<\/a> out for something he’d told her groom, Jono McCullough<\/a>, at the gym.<\/p>\n

As things spiralled, Jack turned to Jono and said “can you muzzle your woman?”<\/p>\n

Cue gasps, fallout and Jack copping it from a furious John Aiken at the following Commitment Ceremony.\ufeff<\/p>\n

It wasn’t the only time Jack put in his foot in it either, \ufeffwith the controversial groom also copping heat for a controversial “the whales are here today” body-shaming comment about two of his co-stars.<\/p>\n

Rupert’s butt dial<\/p>\n

\ufeffDuring season 10 of the experiment, intruder groom Rupert Bugden<\/a> invertedly found himself in the middle of A LOT of drama when he butt dialled his wife Evelyn Ellis<\/a> during a night out.<\/p>\n

Over the line, Evelyn heard other grooms talking poorly about their wives.<\/p>\n

She went on the confront Dan Hunjas<\/a>, claiming she heard him bragging about how hot his exes were while insinuating he was too good for his match Sandy Jawanda<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Beck cheating with her ‘brother’\ufeff<\/p>\n

During the 2021 experiment, Beck Zemek<\/a> shocked everyone with her wild justification for kissing another man.<\/p>\n

At the season reunion, a bombshell video showing Beck kissing another man during a trip home to Perth to care for her sick dog Oscar was shown to the entire group.<\/p>\n

When the experts asked about the man’s identity, Rebecca initially said it was her brother, which led to more shock.<\/p>\n

She eventually “came clean” and admitted it was someone she had been seeing before the experiment.<\/p>\n

\ufeffJayden’s insane dating revenge story<\/p>\n

They started out as one of the strongest couples in the experiment, but Eden Harper<\/a> (and the rest of us!) were rocked by groom Jayden Eynaud<\/a>‘s Confessions Week reveal.<\/p>\n

He explained that after his ex-girlfriend cheated on him, he agreed to give her a second chance only if he slept with one of her friends and she watched.<\/p>\n

He said it had happened and he boldly proclaimed he didn’t regret it at all.\ufeff<\/p>\n

Ryan drops Jacqui on their wedding day\ufeff<\/p>\n

Season 12 couple \ufeffJacqui Burfoot<\/a> and Ryan Donnelly<\/a> gave us our fair share of scandalous moments, from Jacqui writing her honesty letter all to be all about Ryan’s flaws<\/a> to Ryan’s diabolical photo ranking challenge order<\/a> to, well, about 100 other examples.<\/p>\n

But let’s go back to the very beginning, when Ryan gave us the wedding drama we so desperately needed … by bragging about his strength, dropping his bride during their first dance, and then desperately pleading with production not to include it in the edit.\ufeff<\/p>\n

Unfortunately for him, it was shown at least 100 times throughout the season because let’s be real, how could it not?\ufeff<\/p>\n

Domenica smashes a wine glass\ufeff<\/p>\n

Tensions had been building between \ufeffthe brides of season nine for a long time and it all came to an explosive head at the annual couple’s retreat.<\/p>\n

In an argument, brides Domenica Calarco<\/a> and Olivia\ufeff Frazer<\/a> came to blows that ended with Dom smashing a wine glass.<\/p>\n

She later apologised for the outburst\ufeff, telling the group she regret her actions and was disappointed in herself for getting to that point.<\/p>\n

Deborah’s very specific husband request\ufeff<\/p>\n

Deborah Brosnan<\/a> knew what she wanted from the season four experiment and was very clear about her disappointment when she didn’t get it.<\/p>\n

“I was expecting a Polynesian person from the islands, so I was a bit taken back that he wasn’t that,” she explained after meeting her groom, John Robertson.<\/p>\n

Deb’s \ufefffrustration only grew as they continued in the experiment, baffling John, her fellow participants and the experts.<\/p>\n

The couple soon left and word on the street is, Deb’s still out their searching for the man of her Pacific Island dreams.<\/p>\n

We’re sure plenty new scandals will emerge when MAFS returns to screens \u2013 we can’t wait to find out what’s ahead!<\/p>\n
