“For me there\u2019s always something you don\u2019t want
\nto talk about,” said Tandy.<\/p>\n
“It\u2019s very similar to the autumn and we want to get connected to the boys and spend a lot of time with them. <\/p>\n
“I understand there\u2019s
\nspeculation and there\u2019s doubt around a lot of things, so for me it\u2019s being honest
\nwith them.<\/p>\n
“If they\u2019ve got something to share, if they\u2019re seeking more clarity
\nor anything they want to talk about then we have to be open.<\/p>\n
“One thing we can\u2019t do
\nis run away from it or pretend it\u2019s not happening. <\/p>\n
“I think that worked well for
\nus coming into the autumn, it\u2019s far from perfect but ultimately for me it\u2019s
\nputting the players, the staff and the people at the centre of it. <\/p>\n
“If they\u2019ve
\ngot any reservations or if they want someone to talk to or to understand I\u2019ll be
\ndoing that with the players.<\/p>\n
“There\u2019s always that distraction. When you\u2019re talking about all the
\nspeculation, everyone\u2019s talking about it.<\/p>\n
“You can\u2019t run away from it and you
\ncan\u2019t put it out of your mind. <\/p>\n
“The one thing that\u2019s been amazing with these
\nplayers is what it means to play for Wales and how in sport they can
\ncompartmentalise and get on with their training week.<\/p>\n
“I believe
\nwe\u2019re building enough of a connection on the rugby side with the players that
\nthey\u2019ll be truly motivated and I think the best way to do the talking is on the
