England star Henry Pollock has claimed he does not get nervous when playing in front of large crowds, seeing it instead as a \u201cdream\u201d.<\/p>\n
Speaking to former England football player Jamie Redknapp on Sky Sports, Pollock said: \u201cIt\u2019s a dream to play in front of fans. I love entertaining people. I love playing in front of the big crowds.\u201d<\/p>\n
Being only 20 years old and in the spring of his international career, no one would blame the young star for getting the pre-game jitters at Twickenham. But it doesn\u2019t appear to be an issue for Pollock<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cI don\u2019t really get nervous, like I\u2019m excited. My first game in Wales last year at the Principality, I was so excited.\u00a0 I was ready to get out there and play. I love the atmosphere. I love playing in front of fans.\u201d<\/p>\n His energy is infectious, and it\u2019s clearly helping engage a new generation of fans, but what is it about rugby that drew the young man into the sport in the first place?<\/p>\n \u201cI just love how it works in rugby. It\u2019s 15 v 15, and then after the game, you\u2019re mates with them, chatting to them, and it\u2019s left on the pitch.\u201d<\/p>\n Ex-Ireland players at odds as \u2018glaring holes\u2019 reason why one wants Harry Byrne to start versus France is described as \u2018slightly depressing\u2019 by the other<\/a><\/p>\n \u2018Winning the 2027 World Cup is the goal!\u2019<\/p>\n Having been included on the 2025 British and Irish Lions tour of Australia, Pollock will be hoping to continue making inroads into the England squad, particularly with the 2027 World Cup just next year.<\/p>\n Redknapp collected Pollock\u2019s thoughts with a year-and-a-half to go.<\/p>\n \u201cSteve\u2019s [Borthwick<\/a>] come in, and he\u2019s created an amazing group around us, and we have a massive belief that this is a special group. We\u2019ve got amazing talent across the board that we\u2019re going to hopefully do something special,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n \u201cThe World Cup\u2019s on the horizon, so we\u2019re building towards that. Every game is just building towards that.<\/p>\n \u201cWe talked about the goal, the 2027 World Cup.
