\n\tGreen Day<\/a> singer Billie Joe Armstrong has never been shy about sharing his disdain for the Trump administration. During the band\u2019s show on Saturday (Jan. 17) at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles, he was at it again, changing the lyrics to his group\u2019s iconic 2004 protest song \u201cAmerican Idiot\u201d once more to express his explicit disdain for the president and his followers. <\/p>\n

\n\tSwapping out the \u201cI\u2019m not part of the redneck agenda\u201d with \u201cI\u2019m not part of the MAGA agenda,\u201d during \u201cIdiot,\u201d Armstrong moved on to explain during \u201cHoliday\u201d that \u201cthis song is anti-fascist<\/a>. This song is anti-war. We stand up for our brothers and sisters in Minnesota.\u201d The latter appeared to be an explicit show of support in the wake of the chaos and anxiety unleashed in the North Star State over the past few weeks as ICE agents have descended on Minneapolis to enforce the White House\u2019s aggressive immigration agenda.<\/p>\n

\n\tSince the start of the new year, Trump has surged thousands of ICE agents and members of other federal agencies into Minnesota in one of the largest immigration enforcement operations in U.S. history. In addition to raiding homes, businesses and schools in search of the undocumented, ICE agent Jonathan Ross killed 37-year-old American citizen and mother of three Renee Nicole Good on Jan. 7 when he\u00a0shot her three times at point-blank range<\/a>\u00a0while she appeared to be driving away from him.<\/p>\n

\n\tArmstrong also switched up the lyrics to \u201cHoliday\u201d \u2014\u00a0originally a diatribe aimed at then-President George W. Bush and his war in Iraq \u2014\u00a0by tweaking the line \u201cthe representative from California has the floor\u201d to singing, \u201cLadies and gentlemen, Stephen Miller now has the floor,\u201d in reference to Trump\u2019s zealous immigration whisperer, White House deputy chief of staff Miller.<\/p>\n

\n\tGreen Day, who are gearing up to kick off next month\u2019s Super Bowl in Santa Clara, Calif. with an opening ceremony performance<\/a> on Feb. 8 at Levi\u2019s Stadium, have been raging against Trump and his administration for a decade, dating back to the American Music Awards in 2016, when they led a chant of \u201cNo Trump, no KKK, no fascist U.S.A.<\/a>\u201c<\/p>\n

\n\tThey joined fellow outspoken pop star Billie Eilish over the weekend in showing support for the people of Minneapolis amid the surge of federal agents. While accepting the MLK Jr. Beloved Community Award for Environmental Justice on Saturday in Atlanta, Eilish lamented that it was hard to celebrate the honor when, \u201cWe\u2019re seeing our neighbors being kidnapped<\/a>, peaceful protesters being assaulted and murdered, our civil rights being stripped, resources to fight the climate crisis being cut for fossil fuels and animal agriculture destroying our planet, and people\u2019s access to food and healthcare becoming a privilege for the wealthy instead of a new basic human right for all Americans. It is very clear that protecting our planet and our communities is not a priority for this administration. And it\u2019s really hard to celebrate that when we no longer feel safe in our own homes or in our streets.\u201d<\/p>\n
