The world is waiting to learn who\u2019ll play James Bond in Amazon\u2019s first movie<\/a> with the franchise\u2014and a new Prime Video series is capitalizing on the moment.<\/p>\n

Called\u00a0Bait,\u00a0the series stars Riz Ahmed as struggling actor Shah Latif, who auditions to be the next actor to don 007\u2019s suit. With Bond being such a sought-after role, his going to the auditions goes viral, and soon it becomes gospel that he\u2019s going to book the part. Or at least, it\u2019s gospel to his family and friends, as seen in the clip below. The reactions among them run the gamut from pride to confusion (\u201cDid Daniel Craig die?\u201d asks Shah\u2019s father, which\u2026 technically yes<\/a>)\u00a0to thinking about the paycheck to come.<\/p>\n

Bait\u00a0takes place over the four days between Shah\u2019s audition and learning whether he\u2019ll actually book the part. In that time, everyone\u2019s going to have something to say about this news, which will be pretty accurate to casting someone as big as James Bond.<\/p>\n

Since No Time to Die,\u00a0there\u2019s been so much speculation about who\u2019d be next to play him and who fans would want to play him, like Idris Elba and Henry Cavill<\/a>. Denis Villeneuve\u2019s supposedly not begun his search<\/a> yet, but you\u2019ve likely heard rumors and speculation over the past year about young actors like Aaron Taylor-Johnson<\/a> and Callum Turner<\/a> being pursued or up for consideration.<\/p>\n

Look for\u00a0Bait\u00a0and all its six episodes to hit Prime Video on March 25.<\/p>\n
