The Baltimore Ravens<\/a> head coach position, for most, is one of the most sought-after roles in football after John Harbaugh was moved on.<\/p>\n

You could make the case that the Buffalo Bills<\/a>‘ vacant position is also up there.<\/p>\n

The Ravens have Lamar Jackson, the Bills have Josh Allen, but the sense is that Baltimore’s position is seen as a better one to strive for.<\/p>\n

But what is clear is that both will come with huge pressure.<\/p>\n

And for NFL.com’s Judy Battista, the Ravens’ head coaching role is the top one in football, but it comes with a huge caveat for candidates.<\/p>\n

“The Ravens stunned the NFL by firing John Harbaugh, who led he franchise to 12 playoff appearances and a Super Bowl title over 18 seasons,\u201d Battista wrote<\/a>. \u201cIt will be interesting to see who emerges with this job — whoever it is must have a specific plan for how to maximize and protect the most unique player in the game.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ideally, Baltimore’s incoming head coach would be an offensive-minded coach who gets Lamar back playing MVP-level football. Or close to it.<\/p>\n

That is why the Ravens’ head coaching job is so highly sought-after. The chance to work with Jackson.<\/p>\n

But that comes with a huge price.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The franchise will expect playoffs and wins at a bare minimum. So, the pressure will be on from the outset, with the incoming head coach needing a plan centered around getting the most out of Jackson.<\/p>\n

Because yes, the chance to coach Lamar is a big carrot, but in having a two-time MVP winner at your disposal, you need to get results and fast.<\/p>\n
