The latest? <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tiktok.com\/search?q=Jump-50%20challenge&amp;t=1768757094166\" data-vars-ga-outbound-link=\"https:\/\/www.tiktok.com\/search?q=Jump-50%20challenge&amp;t=1768757094166\" data-vars-ga-ux-element=\"Hyperlink\" data-vars-ga-call-to-action=\"Doing 50 jumps as soon as you wake up\" data-vars-ga-product-id=\"9ce068a0-b32a-4336-abc8-58a335fe9fb4\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" data-node-id=\"2.3\" class=\"body-link product-links css-7bauu1 emevuu60\" target=\"_blank\">Doing 50 jumps as soon as you wake up<\/a>. Many people\u2019s reasoning for committing to 50 jumps each morning is to help with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.womenshealthmag.com\/uk\/health\/a69177697\/lymphatic-drainage-for-energy\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-vars-ga-outbound-link=\"https:\/\/www.womenshealthmag.com\/uk\/health\/a69177697\/lymphatic-drainage-for-energy\/\" data-vars-ga-ux-element=\"Hyperlink\" data-vars-ga-call-to-action=\"lymphatic drainage\" data-node-id=\"2.5\" class=\"body-link css-7bauu1 emevuu60\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">lymphatic drainage<\/a> (more on this in a second), but others have cited an array of other benefits, including improved mood, more overall energy, increased motivation, finding it easier to wake up, and even better skin. That\u2019s quite a big pay-off for a relatively low-level habit. Strength training and walking can also help build bone mass. \u2018And the benefits of jumping don\u2019t outweigh the downsides if your joints, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.womenshealthmag.com\/uk\/health\/female-health\/a69671836\/how-i-fixed-weak-pelvic-floor\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-vars-ga-outbound-link=\"https:\/\/www.womenshealthmag.com\/uk\/health\/female-health\/a69671836\/how-i-fixed-weak-pelvic-floor\/\" data-vars-ga-ux-element=\"Hyperlink\" data-vars-ga-call-to-action=\"pelvic floor\" data-node-id=\"17.5\" class=\"body-link css-7bauu1 emevuu60\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">pelvic floor<\/a> or back aren\u2019t happy,&#8217; says Rowe-Ham.<\/p>\n<p>When should you do the 50 jumps?<\/p>\n<p data-journey-content=\"true\" data-node-id=\"20\" class=\"css-6wxqfj emevuu60\">The challenge stipulates that you perform the 50 jumps in the morning, with the idea that you do them as soon as you wake (no alarm snoozing here). But does timing actually make a difference, and are you more likely to benefit in the AM? \u2018Morning can feel good because the body\u2019s been still overnight, and movement helps shake off stiffness. But as with all exercise, there\u2019s nothing specific about the timing,\u2019 says Rowe-Ham. \u2018What matters far more is choosing movement that suits the body and doing it consistently.\u2019 <\/p>\n<p>Should you do TikTok\u2019s 50-jump challenge?<\/p>\n<p data-journey-content=\"true\" data-node-id=\"23\" class=\"css-6wxqfj emevuu60\">While there aren\u2019t necessarily many downsides to hopping straight out of bed and jumping 50 times \u2013 generally speaking, all movement is good movement \u2013 whether and how much you benefit is going to depend on you as an individual. \u2018Jumping straight out of bed isn\u2019t ideal for everyone, especially women over 35,\u2019 warns Rowe-Ham. \u2018If you\u2019ve got joint issues, back pain, pelvic floor symptoms, or you\u2019re <a href=\"https:\/\/www.womenshealthmag.com\/uk\/fitness\/a69590619\/how-to-start-exercising-after-long-break\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-vars-ga-outbound-link=\"https:\/\/www.womenshealthmag.com\/uk\/fitness\/a69590619\/how-to-start-exercising-after-long-break\/\" data-vars-ga-ux-element=\"Hyperlink\" data-vars-ga-call-to-action=\"returning to exercise after a break\" data-node-id=\"23.1\" class=\"body-link css-7bauu1 emevuu60\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">returning to exercise after a break<\/a>, this isn\u2019t where I\u2019d start \u2013 a few minutes of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.womenshealthmag.com\/uk\/fitness\/strength-training\/a708496\/mobility\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-vars-ga-outbound-link=\"https:\/\/www.womenshealthmag.com\/uk\/fitness\/strength-training\/a708496\/mobility\/\" data-vars-ga-ux-element=\"Hyperlink\" data-vars-ga-call-to-action=\"mobility\" data-node-id=\"23.3\" class=\"body-link css-7bauu1 emevuu60\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">mobility<\/a> or gentle strength work will often be a much better option.\u2019<\/p>\n<p data-journey-content=\"true\" data-node-id=\"25\" class=\"css-6wxqfj emevuu60\">Her advice is a reminder that you don\u2019t have to jump (no pun intended) onto every online fitness trend you see.
