So let&#8217;s check in with teams that have a top-10 pick in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/nfl\/draft\/news\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">2026 draft<\/a>, which begins April 23 in Pittsburgh.<\/p>\n<p>The Raiders have the No. 1 pick for the first time since 2007, and they seem poised to select a signal-caller. But could they be willing to entertain a trade for the top selection? The rest of the top 10 also offers intrigue. How can the Titans best support quarterback <a data-player-guid=\"9f4e87b5-5da8-38c0-9951-e3496b55b3c8\" href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/nfl\/player\/_\/id\/4688380\/cam-ward\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Cam Ward<\/a> &#8212; the No. 1 pick from 2025 &#8212; at No. 4? It&#8217;s hard to imagine the Raiders passing on Indiana&#8217;s <a data-player-guid=\"2d69f2b3-fc07-332b-bd84-8793a3a1b74a\" href=\"http:\/\/www.espn.com\/college-football\/player\/_\/id\/4837248\/fernando-mendoza\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Fernando Mendoza<\/a>, especially after ownership, <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/PeteThamel\/status\/2013396884212113676?s=20\" rel=\"nofollow\">including Tom Brady<\/a>, attended the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com.au\/college-football\/game\/_\/gameId\/401769076\/miami-indiana\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">College Football Playoff National Championship<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>After <a data-player-guid=\"593e3c58-2b92-e0f1-f4a8-84215e27f023\" href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/nfl\/player\/_\/id\/15864\/geno-smith\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Geno Smith<\/a>&#8216;s rough 2025 season, the Raiders need to bring in a young signal-caller who can grow with running back <a data-player-guid=\"fb81ea34-8566-3bda-9997-f9bf0a4ba991\" href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/nfl\/player\/_\/id\/4890973\/ashton-jeanty\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Ashton Jeanty<\/a> and tight end <a data-player-guid=\"bc4ba7ee-446b-36fd-9985-7fd2a94a98bc\" href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/nfl\/player\/_\/id\/4432665\/brock-bowers\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Brock Bowers<\/a>. Mendoza has shown the toughness, accuracy and ability to deliver in pressured situations &#8212; traits that Las Vegas would covet from the quarterback position. Given the current state of the organization, there&#8217;s no need for the Raiders to overthink this selection. &#8212; Ryan McFadden<\/p>\n<p>Editor&#8217;s Picks<\/p>\n<p>2 Related<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" class=\"floatleft\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/nyj.png&#038;h=110&#038;w=110.png\" width=\"31\"\/><\/p>\n<p>What is the most likely route that the Jets will take in addressing QB?<\/p>\n<p>They won&#8217;t draft a quarterback here unless the Raiders somehow pass on Mendoza. Chances are, the Jets will have an all-encompassing plan: acquire a veteran or two (perhaps <a data-player-guid=\"d8e50c9b-0b97-3aae-b0b6-f1649bcc8e03\" href=\"http:\/\/www.espn.com\/college-football\/player\/_\/id\/5157120\/malik-willis\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Malik Willis<\/a> or <a data-player-guid=\"53bec012-c2ed-bc7c-a8d5-438611f9faa1\" href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/nfl\/player\/_\/id\/14880\/kirk-cousins\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Kirk Cousins<\/a>), release <a data-player-guid=\"7e9fbd60-951e-2d9a-8d8c-b3f1ab6c4a4d\" href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/nfl\/player\/_\/id\/4362887\/justin-fields\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Justin Fields<\/a> and draft a quarterback with the No. 16 or No. 33 pick.<\/p>\n<p>The later draft pick could be Alabama&#8217;s <a data-player-guid=\"d2b7e374-7a14-319e-8474-564a6b2c7474\" href=\"http:\/\/www.espn.com\/college-football\/player\/_\/id\/4685522\/ty-simpson\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Ty Simpson<\/a> or Ole Miss&#8217; <a data-player-guid=\"a4f48e48-f06b-3cfc-a19d-2487eac549a9\" href=\"http:\/\/www.espn.com\/college-football\/player\/_\/id\/4911529\/trinidad-chambliss\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Trinidad Chambliss<\/a>. This would cover their short- and long-term interests. The Cardinals spent a lot in free agency last offseason rebuilding the defense only to see it underperform &#8212; it gave up 40 or more points four times and 37 in two other games. But the offense needs upgrades in a few areas to help Arizona get back on track after a 3-14 season, starting with the offensive line.<\/p>\n<p>There are at least two line positions &#8212; guard and right tackle &#8212; that need to be addressed. Plus, getting another receiver to complement <a data-player-guid=\"7a24e799-fc0e-395e-b740-4ecee71a3c53\" href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/nfl\/player\/_\/id\/4432708\/marvin-harrison-jr\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Marvin Harrison Jr<\/a>. and <a data-player-guid=\"e5a58dd8-bc28-120e-a704-9afcb878363b\" href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/nfl\/player\/_\/id\/4360761\/michael-wilson\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Michael Wilson<\/a> would be useful. &#8212; Josh Weinfuss<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" class=\"floatleft\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/1768998611_42_ten.png&#038;h=110&#038;w=110.png\" width=\"31\"\/><\/p>\n<p>How can the Titans best support Cam Ward with this pick?<\/p>\n<p>Even though it&#8217;s on the other side of the ball, the best thing to do is add an impactful pass rusher to team up with defensive tackle <a data-player-guid=\"3d2c970c-ba26-bcf9-3e98-bd833dd57be6\" href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/nfl\/player\/_\/id\/4035369\/jeffery-simmons\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Jeffery Simmons<\/a> and help create favorable field position. A stout, turnover-generating defense would give Ward and the offense shorter fields to work with and more opportunities to score points. The Titans finished 15th in pass rush win rate in 2025, and Simmons&#8217; 11 sacks were six more than the next closest player (<a data-player-guid=\"d2c1e4c6-f633-37e1-5cd1-eef560173d1d\" href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/nfl\/player\/_\/id\/3115914\/jihad-ward\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Jihad Ward<\/a>). &#8212; Turron Davenport<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" class=\"floatleft\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/1768998611_56_nyg.png&#038;h=110&#038;w=110.png\" width=\"31\"\/><\/p>\n<p>The Giants have a lot of needs. Will they just take a &#8220;best player available&#8221; approach with this pick?<\/p>\n<p>The Giants could use another offensive playmaker, offensive lineman, defensive lineman, linebacker, cornerback or safety. They definitely have options. With <a href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com.au\/nfl\/story\/_\/id\/47642180\/john-harbaugh-agrees-giants-five-year-deal-coach-says\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">new coach John Harbaugh<\/a> now the biggest voice in the room, anything is possible. Cleveland&#8217;s offensive line is aging and in decline. With only one Week 1 starter under contract for the 2026 season, general manager Andrew Berry acknowledged the position group will have a &#8220;fair amount of turnover&#8221; in the offseason.<\/p>\n<p>The Browns could also use a dynamic playmaker on the outside. Cleveland&#8217;s pass catchers accounted for the second-fewest yards in the NFL (3,152) in 2025, behind only the Jets. &#8212; Daniel Oyefusi<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" class=\"floatleft\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/1768998612_977_wsh.png&#038;h=110&#038;w=110.png\" width=\"31\"\/><\/p>\n<p>After the Commanders had the NFL&#8217;s oldest roster in 2025, which position needs the biggest reboot?<\/p>\n<p>Washington&#8217;s offense has a strong foundation, thanks to its line and quarterback <a data-player-guid=\"f62885ce-f788-31d0-9d3d-96075459d7fb\" href=\"http:\/\/www.espn.com\/college-football\/player\/_\/id\/5306679\/jayden-daniels\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Jayden Daniels<\/a>. But the defense needs youth, speed and athleticism &#8212; especially on the edge.<\/p>\n<p>The Commanders have one rotational defensive lineman under 28 years old. Their top pass rusher, <a data-player-guid=\"564d25c1-08a2-b0fb-4dd9-bcd54be15515\" href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/nfl\/player\/_\/id\/3928979\/dorance-armstrong\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Dorance Armstrong<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com.au\/nfl\/story\/_\/id\/46662178\/daniels-hamstring-injury-not-significant-armstrong-torn-acl\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">tore his ACL<\/a> in October. If they do take a defensive player with a high pick, it&#8217;s more likely they would try to find another defensive end to complement <a data-player-guid=\"34851fdd-fa26-e8a8-ac34-2625143d1348\" href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/nfl\/player\/_\/id\/4241986\/chase-young\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Chase Young<\/a> and <a data-player-guid=\"fb217954-5287-9a6d-1b16-c665b0d28ad7\" href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/nfl\/player\/_\/id\/3918310\/carl-granderson\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Carl Granderson<\/a> versus taking a linebacker.<\/p>\n<p>New Orleans hasn&#8217;t drafted a linebacker in the first round since <a data-player-guid=\"1b4607fa-60d9-afbc-229e-4091bfcc65c5\" href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/nfl\/player\/_\/id\/2576482\/stephone-anthony\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Stephone Anthony<\/a> at No. 31 in 2015. Could the Chiefs make a splashy move to fix their run game?<\/p>\n<p>Boy, this is such an alluring option. The Chiefs desperately need to upgrade their rushing attack, and Love has demonstrated dynamic playmaking ability.<\/p>\n<p>The better option, though, is for Kansas City to prioritize whomever is the best pass rusher available with this pick. The Chiefs&#8217; pass rush was a liability in 2025 (tied for 22nd with 35 total sacks) and defensive tackle <a data-player-guid=\"3a9adacc-63fb-4f5e-805d-d98750056eef\" href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/nfl\/player\/_\/id\/3044859\/chris-jones\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Chris Jones<\/a> will turn 31 this summer. Another capable player next to Jones and <a data-player-guid=\"5c6a6d9e-f116-c17f-3e30-23accba436db\" href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/nfl\/player\/_\/id\/4426659\/george-karlaftis\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">George Karlaftis<\/a> is more necessary than selecting Love. &#8212; Nate Taylor<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" class=\"floatleft\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/1768998613_931_cin.png&#038;h=110&#038;w=110.png\" width=\"31\"\/><\/p>\n<p>What does history tell us about which position Duke Tobin and Zac Taylor will lean toward in Round 1?<\/p>\n<p>The Bengals haven&#8217;t used a top-10 pick on defense since 2010, when they drafted USC linebacker Keith Rivers with the No. 9 pick.
