Adam Schindler & Brian Netto (Don\u2019t Move<\/a>) are attached to direct Every House Is Haunted from producer Sam Raimi, Deadline<\/a> reports.<\/p>\n

Raimi has a financing deal with Starlight, which optioned Ian Rogers\u2018s 2012 collection Every House Is Haunted. The short story The House on Ashley Avenue is the basis for the film.<\/p>\n

In it, an insurance investigator tries to debunk claims that a couple\u2019s death was caused by a haunted house, but his doubts are challenged by a psychic and the mysterious occurrences he witnesses with his own eyes.<\/p>\n

Raimi and Zainab Azizi are producing for Raimi Productions alongside Roy Lee (Weapons, IT) for Vertigo Entertainment. Vertigo\u2019s Andrew Childs (The Long Walk) will executive produce.<\/p>\n

The film was originally set up at Netflix with Jason Pagan & Andrew Deutschman (Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension) penning the script, although it\u2019s unclear if that\u2019s still the case.<\/p>\n

\u201cIan is a fantastic storyteller of horror,\u201d said Raimi. \u201cHe has an ability to create a unique reading experience with great scares and memorable characters. I knew the moment I finished reading Every House Is Haunted that Ian was someone I wanted to work with.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Nun director Corin Hardy was originally announced<\/a> as the director back in 2021 but has since moved on to other projects.<\/p>\n

Schindler & Netto will next helm Nightwatching<\/a>, an adaptation of Tracy Sierra\u2019s psychological thriller novel starring Mila Kunis.<\/p>\n
