Jack White<\/a>\u00a0has poked fun at Donald Trump<\/a>\u2018s rambling speech marking a year since he returned to the White House.<\/p>\n

Yesterday (Tuesday January 20) saw President Trump lead a press conference at the White House with a giant stack of papers reading \u2018accomplishments\u2019 \u2013 which he spent over an hour and a half reading out in a monotone fashion. The list slowly became more repetitive and strange, including the remark \u201cI love Hispanic,\u201d to xenophobic comments about Somalia and a reaffirmation of the falsehood that he won the 2020 election.<\/p>\n

He went on to describe coal as \u201cclean, beautiful coal\u201d and rename the Gulf of Mexico as the \u201cGulf of Trump\u201d, which he claimed was a joke. Later, there was a sudden battle with a paperclip. \u201cWoo!\u201d he said. \u201cI\u2019m glad my finger wasn\u2019t in that sucker. That could\u2019ve dome some damage, but you know what? I wouldn\u2019t have shown the pain. I would\u2019ve gone back. Boy, did you hear that? That was nasty. But I would not have shown the pain. I would\u2019ve acted like nothing happened as my finger fell off.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

The White Stripes<\/a> frontman turned solo star, a staunch critic of Trump, then took to Instagram to mock him. \u201cMe do accomplishments!\u201d White wrote.\u00a0 \u201cTrump smart. Good boy deserve Nobel Peace Prize! Dementia? What is? NO! Trump smart, pass brain test, name giraffe. Me President of Venezuela and Canada.<\/p>\n

\u201cMe want Greenland too for fun. Mom said Trump could have been great baseball player but also big building with bars on windows. Building for very sick people. Trump not sick. Trump smart. MAGA. Very smart people made Trump President. Very smart people keep Trump President. Take nap now. Use fake, I mean real Peace Prizes for pillows. Trump accomplishment. Nighty night.\u201d<\/p>\n

White then suggested people complaining the comments go and listen to Ted Nugent<\/a> or Kid Rock<\/a>, both of whom are Trump supporters. \u201cAnyone who likes said comment gets blocked too. i leave a couple up so everyone knows why they were blocked. This is my house, not town square. ted nugent and kid rock i\u2019m sure are looking for more MAGA supporters so i suggest you head over to their houses. thank you for your attention to this matter!\u201d<\/p>\n

By contrast, he received more positive comments from Garbage<\/a>, Butch Walker \u2013 who wrote \u201cI love you,\u201d \u2013 and Cat Power<\/a>, who commented: \u201cKING OF THE BADDASSES U ARE MY BELOVED FRIEND.\u201d<\/p>\n

Last month, White hit back at the Republican congressman Tim Burchett<\/a> after likening him to Wednesday Addams. Responding to an apparently AI-generated video that depicted White saying, \u201cDon\u2019t even think about listening to my music, you fascist,\u201d Burchett said: \u201cThat cute little girl from the Addams Family got really ugly and angry.\u201d<\/p>\n

White fired back by writing: \u201cCan you believe that a U.S. congressman, that\u2019s right, a CONGRESSMAN (from my state no less), a once hallowed and respected position in our society, would repost an AI generated video, containing a false comment that I never said and refuted (without researching that I might add) and like a 10 year old on a playground, add to it attempted insults to my physical appearance? What kind of joke are we all living in now?\u201d<\/p>\n

Prior to that, White was among the many famous faces to criticise Trump<\/a> over his \u201cvile\u201d comments about Rob Reiner\u2019s death<\/a>, putting forward false claims that his murder was brought about by his \u201cobsession\u201d with criticising him.<\/p>\n

The guitarist and Third Man Records founder called Trump a \u201cdisgusting, vile, egomaniac loser, child\u201d, adding: \u201cNeither he nor any one of his followers can defend this gross, horrible insult to a beautiful artist who gave the world so much. To use someone\u2019s tragic death to promote your own vanity and fascist authoritarian agenda is a corrupt and narcissistic sin.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cShame on you trump and anyone who defends this,\u201d he added. \u201cGod bless you Rob Reiner and thank you for what you gave the world. I never even met you and I still stand by you.\u201d<\/p>\n
