The broadcaster, 60, revealed his injury over the weekend as he\u00a0posted\u00a0two pictures; one showing him lying in a hospital bed and another displaying an X-ray of his broken hip.<\/p>\n

But Piers is officially back home after being discharged from Cromwell Hospital, a private facility in\u00a0Kensington, on Wednesday.\u00a0<\/p>\n

To celebrate his return home, Piers revealed his former Britain’s Got Talent co-judge Amanda and her husband Chris Hughes had bought him custom made crutches with ‘Breaking News’ written on them.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Sharing a picture with his walking aids, from website Cool Crutches, back at his London home, Piers wrote: ‘Back home.\u00a0Love my Breaking News @coolcrutches – thanks so much @noholdenback & Chris.\u00a0<\/p>\n

‘Perfect timing as President Trump is making a lot of breaking news<\/a> in Davos.’<\/p>\n

Piers Morgan got back on his feet on Wednesday after breaking his hip, with the help of \u00a3300 bespoke crutches gifted to him by Amanda Holden<\/p>\n

To celebrate his return home, Piers revealed his former Britain’s Got Talent co-judge Amanda had bought him custom made crutches (Piers and Amanda seen with Simon Cowell in 2009)<\/p>\n

Piers shared a picture of the note sent from Amanda and Chris, which read: ‘Here’s something to help get you back on your feet. All our love, Amanda and Chris xxx.’\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

During his hospital stay, Piers revealed he\u00a0had food from the upmarket Soho pub The Devonshire delivered direct to his bed.<\/p>\n

Sharing an update from his hospital bed on Wednesday, Piers revealed he had been treated to a lavish meal from the expensive – and near-impossible to get a reservation – The Devonshire.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Piers shared he had feasted on lamb chops from the comfort of his hospital bed after his friend\u00a0Andrea Catherwood called the restaurant to arrange a meal – delivered from the pub’s landlord Ois\u00edn Rogers himself.<\/p>\n

The Devonshire charges \u00a328 for three lamb chops, with all sides costing extra at \u00a36-a-pop.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n

Sharing pictures of his meal, Piers wrote: ‘Lots of friends and family have been incredibly kind and generous during my hospital stay, for which I am incredibly grateful.<\/p>\n

‘But how about this.. My lovely mate\u00a0@andreacatherwoodnews made a call to one our mutual favourite restaurateurs\u00a0@mcmoop and asked if he might be able to send over some delicious recuperative food from his fabulous @devonshiresoho.. and being Oisin, he not only instantly agreed but he insisted on bringing it over himself on a Lime bike.<\/p>\n

‘So as I watched Arsenal’s demolition of Inter Milan last night, I tucked into sensational lamb chops with all the trimmings. Almost as satisfying as my team’s scintillating performance. Thanks Oisin, and Andrea.<\/p>\n

Piers fractured the neck of his femur after tripping on a small step inside a London<\/a>\u00a0hotel restaurant, with the injury so severe that it required a full hip replacement.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The injury means Piers is facing up to three months of restricted movement, with doctors advising against long-haul travel for at least 12 weeks as he recovers from surgery.<\/p>\n

The TV presenter appeared in good spirits despite the ordeal, even ending his post by jokingly blaming Donald Trump<\/a>\u00a0for the mishap.<\/p>\n

The fall is said to have taken place inside a London hotel restaurant, with Morgan admitting he ‘fell like a sack of spuds’ after misjudging a small step.<\/p>\n

His post is similar to one he made in 2019 when he had to be hospitalised for gastritis and duodenitis, and blamed ‘vegan sausage rolls, Brexit and Donald Trump.’\u00a0<\/p>\n

Gastritis is an inflammation of the stomach while duodenitis is swelling of the duodenum, the first part of the small intestine.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Explaining his reasoning behind the tweet, he wrote: ‘Monday, 6.40am: I eat one mouthful of vegan sausage roll.<\/p>\n

‘Friday, 11am: hospitalised for gastroscopy on inflamed, exploding innards.
