{"id":430347,"date":"2026-01-22T16:50:10","date_gmt":"2026-01-22T16:50:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/430347\/"},"modified":"2026-01-22T16:50:10","modified_gmt":"2026-01-22T16:50:10","slug":"nrl-star-jake-averillo-addresses-super-league-links-total-rugby-league","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/430347\/","title":{"rendered":"NRL star Jake Averillo addresses Super League links \u2013 Total Rugby League"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>                                        <a href=\"https:\/\/www.totalrl.com\/nrl-star-jake-averillo-addresses-super-league-links\/\" title=\"Permanent Link to NRL star Jake Averillo addresses Super League links\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><img width=\"675\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/78471695_AverilloJ-250614_SD_5506_202561513353-675x360.jpg\" class=\"bestwp-post-thumbnail-single wp-post-image\" alt=\"\" decoding=\"async\" fetchpriority=\"high\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>NRL star Jake Averillo has addressed links that he will make the move to Super League.<\/p>\n<p>The Dolphins star has scored 22 tries in 47 appearances in two seasons, but, heading into the 2026 NRL campaign,\u00a0Selwyn Cobbo, Trai Fuller, Jack Bostock and Tevita Naufahu all look primed to take backline spots.<\/p>\n<p>As such, with Averillo out of contract at the end of the season, there had been question marks over his future at the Dolphins.<\/p>\n<p>And late last year, the 25-year-old had been linked with a move to St Helens.<\/p>\n<p>But, in an interview with the\u00a0Sydney Morning Herald, Averillo dismissed the rumours, saying: \u201cThat was definitely news to me, moving to England,\u201d Averillo said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy manager said we\u2019ve started [extension talks], so we\u2019ll just see how it goes.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve missed a lot of training, so I\u2019m just trying to focus on getting back to training and letting my management take care of all that stuff.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"NRL star Jake Averillo has addressed links that he will make the move to Super League.
