“The Angels Lane”, situated just off Hindley Street in Adelaide’s CBD, was unveiled today to acknowledge the band’s contribution to Australian music.

“We’re just blown away that this has happened,” guitarist John Brewster said.

The Angels’ impact on the Australian music scene spans decades, with their 1976 anthem Am I Ever Gonna See Your Face Again recently voted number 12 in Triple J’s Hottest 100 Australian songs of all time.

“Our very first single,” Brewster said.

“It wasn’t a very big deal at the time but it seems to have become a big deal.
