Hull City have struck a deal with Rangers to sign winger Kieran Dowell on a permanent deal, with the versatile player set to become the club’s third January arrival.<\/p>\n

City have spent the past few weeks trying to tie up a deal<\/a> for the 28-year-old winger, who came through the ranks at Everton, and have finally wrapped up a deal, with the player in East Yorkshire on Thursday to conclude his move.<\/p>\n

Having started the season in the Rangers team under Russell Martin in both the Scottish Premiership and Europa League, Dowell had found himself sidelined.<\/p>\n

He played his first game since August last Friday and scored in a 5-0 Scottish FA Cup<\/a> win over Annan Athletic, coming off just after the hour mark.<\/p>\n

Dowell is no stranger to playing against City and boasts an impressive scoring record against the Tigers. In the seven games he\u2019s played versus the Tigers, he\u2019s netted seven goals including hat-tricks for Nottingham Forest and Wigan Athletic.<\/p>\n

City have already signed Yu Hirakawa on loan from Bristol City and are expected to confirm the short-term arrival of Toby Collyer from Manchester United ahead of Saturday’s home meeting with Swansea City in the Championship.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Kasey Palmer’s loan move to Luton Town is expected to be confirmed in the next 24 hours, which will free up valuable space in the Tigers’ squad<\/a>.<\/p>\n
