Disney\u2019s live-action Tangled<\/a> adaptation has been doing the rounds on the internet since its leads were revealed. Recently, one of the main stars finally spoke out about these casting rumors<\/a>.<\/p>\n

What Milo Manheim said about Tangled casting<\/p>\n

Disney confirmed Milo Manheim and Teagan Croft as the leads of its live-action adaptation of Tangled on January 7. Almost immediately, social media lit up with reactions<\/a>, with many fans assuming the actors had been sitting on the news for weeks. Manheim says that simply wasn\u2019t the case.<\/p>\n

Manheim explained to Entertainment Weekly that he learned about his Tangled casting only minutes before Disney shared the news publicly. \u201cIt\u2019s important the world knows this! People think that I booked this like a long time ago and I\u2019ve been keeping it a secret,\u201d he quipped. \u201cI found out 10 minutes before the news was released that I\u2019d be playing Flynn. So that day was \u2014 I woke up, just like any other day, and by the end of the day\u2026 it was beautiful. The world knew, it was great.\u201d<\/p>\n

The actor further described the sudden shift from a normal day to becoming Flynn Rider as surreal, adding that the outpouring of fan support hit him all at once. \u201cIt feels like thousands of people just got this role, it feels so genuinely happy. My skin was like tingling that day. I was just flooded with dopamine, love, and everything,\u201d Manheim said.<\/p>\n

Manheim, who is best known for his work in Disney\u2019s Zombies franchise and the series School Spirits, will step into the role<\/a> previously voiced by Zachary Levi in the 2010 animated film. He said he plans to approach the character with care and respect. \u201cI\u2019m gonna really honor this movie and this role,\u201d he quipped. \u201cI love Tangled, so here we go. Adventure of a lifetime.\u201d<\/p>\n
