{"id":43278,"date":"2025-08-04T17:08:08","date_gmt":"2025-08-04T17:08:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/43278\/"},"modified":"2025-08-04T17:08:08","modified_gmt":"2025-08-04T17:08:08","slug":"two-men-taken-to-hospital-after-stabbing-in-shepparton","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/43278\/","title":{"rendered":"Two men taken to hospital after stabbing in Shepparton"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph__iYReA\">A manhunt is underway after two men were stabbed during an altercation in Shepparton, northern Victoria.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph__iYReA\">Police on Monday released CCTV footage and a photo of a man they believed could be able to assist with inquiries.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph__iYReA\">Police said a fight broke out between three men outside a home on Saint Georges Road in Shepparton about 8:40pm on Friday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph__iYReA\">An 18-year-old Shepparton man and a 23-year-old Kialla man then walked to a nearby bottle shop on High Street where the fight continued.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph__iYReA\">Police allege a third man produced a knife and stabbed the pair before fleeing the scene on foot.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph__iYReA\">Both men were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph__iYReA\">Authorities said the two victims were known to each other, but the third man was not believed to be known to them.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph__iYReA\">The man police are looking for is described as being of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander appearance and was last seen wearing a black puffer jacket and black tracksuit pants.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"A manhunt is underway after two men were stabbed during an altercation in Shepparton, northern Victoria.
