Polyphia guitarist Tim Henson has just released his debut solo track, \u201cOriginal Sin\u201c. That song coincides with the announcement of his new clothing brand of the same name. Henson himself weighed in on the musical accompaniment for this business venture:<\/p>\n
\u201c\u2018Original Sin\u2019 started as something digital with synths and keys, but once I translated it to my nylon-string guitar, everything clicked. I wanted to play with contradiction: a waltz that feels like it\u2019s driving forward, something elegant but uncomfortable. Conceptually, it\u2019s about choice. If you\u2019re forced to do the right thing, it doesn\u2019t mean anything. That idea \u2013 freedom, temptation, consequence \u2013 is something I\u2019ve been thinking about a lot.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u2018The title \u2018Original Sin,\u2019\u201d\u2019 which Henson frames less as a moral lesson and more as a metaphor, is about creation as a game of agency, where meaning only exists because choice does. The philosophy extends into the music video which visually reinforces these themes.
