The trailer for the new special reveals that Kermit, Miss Piggy, Fozzie, and Rowlf are back for a new version of the classic variety show \u2014 according to the official synopsis, \u201cMusic, comedy, and a whole lot of chaos are bound to ensue when The Muppets once again take the stage of the original Muppet Theatre with their very special guest, Sabrina Carpenter!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In addition to the human cast (including Rogen and newly announced guest star <a href=\"https:\/\/consequence.net\/tag\/maya-rudolph\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Maya Rudolph<\/a>), The Muppet Show\u2018s return will feature veteran Muppet performers Bill Barretta, Dave Goelz, Eric Jacobson, Peter Linz, David Rudman and Matt Vogel. Goelz, the press release notes, has been a Muppeteer for over 50 years, performed on the original Muppet Show, and originated characters like Gonzo and Dr. Bunsen Honeydew, \u201camong many others.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Check out the first trailer below. The special event will premiere on Disney+ at 12:00 a.m. PT \/ 3:00 a.m. ET and on ABC at 9:00 p.m. ET\/PT.
