Hobart Hurricanes<\/a> teammates engaged in a heated verbal encounter as emotions ran high in the BBL<\/a> playoff loss to the Sixers.<\/p>\n

Tempers were raised as teammates Beau Webster, Mitchell Owen and Matthew Wade got into a disagreement over fielding positions.<\/p>\n

Following his final ball in the 14th over, cameras caught Webster expressing frustration over Owen’s position at cover, with the on field microphone picking up his comments.<\/p>\n

“How many games have you played?” he said before Hurricanes skipper Wade intervened.<\/p>\n

“Did you tell him to go?” Webster asked Wade, referring to Owen.<\/p>\n

“I saw you tell him to go. I didn’t tell him to stay in,” Wade responded.<\/p>\n

Beau Webster, Matthew Wade and Mitchell Owen had it out in the loss to the Sixers.\u00a0Fox Cricket<\/p>\n

It’s understood Webster was frustrated that Owen stayed inside the circle rather than fielding deep.<\/p>\n

As a result, the Hurricanes conceded a boundary.<\/p>\n

“Tempers flaring here \u2026 Not a good look,” Adam Gilchrist said in commentary.<\/p>\n

“His point is a valid one in that everyone out there, you don’t need a captain’s armband on to be a captain.<\/p>\n

“You can make decisions for yourself by thinking about the game and what the situation is.<\/p>\n

“Mitch Owen probably should have been aware that with a couple of balls left in the over, I probably need to go back if that’s the team’s plan.<\/p>\n

“Probably not the way to play it out in front of the opposition though.”<\/p>\n

The Sixers will return to Perth for the final on Sunday night after outclassing the Hurricanes.<\/p>\n
