Glamorgan have signed 18-year-old all-rounder Tom Norton on a two-year rookie contract.<\/p>\n
Norton, from Abergavenny, was part of Glamorgan’s Metro Bank One-Day Cup squads in both 2024 and 2025.<\/p>\n
He made his first team debut in the competition against Leicestershire at Sophia Gardens in August last year, returning impressive figures of 3-41 off of his 10 overs.<\/p>\n
The teenager has been with Glamorgan since the age of 11, progressing through the pathway and academy.<\/p>\n
In 2024, Norton became the youngest player to represent Wales since 2007 at the age of 16 years and 348 days. <\/p>\n
On signing his first professional deal, the all-rounder said: “It’s a privilege to sign for Glamorgan, being a Welsh boy from Abergavenny.<\/p>\n
“My goal is to try and push into the first team to show my capabilities and improve as a player and a person.”<\/p>\n
Men’s Team Assistant Coach Mark O’Leary said: “Tom is a genuine all-rounder, a great fielder, and a big personality in the changing room.<\/p>\n
“He’s a very exciting talent who thrived on that first XI experience last summer.
