The Belgian remained on the ground for several minutes, clearly distressed, as medical staff attended to him while the race continued.<\/p>\n<p>The incident occurred before the race had the chance to settle, immediately disrupting the opening phase and forcing the peloton to fragment as the leading riders pushed on.
