IT was once seized due to a Supreme Court injunction, but now this V8 Supercar Ford Falcon has ended up back in the hands of its former driver!<\/p>\n

As revealed in V8 Sleuth Magazine Issue 1 \u2013 available here to order online<\/a> and in Australian newsagents until early February 2026 \u2013 former V8 privateer Cameron McLean has re-acquired his old team\u2019s car!<\/p>\n

Built by Paragon Motorsport (of which McLean was a partner) for the 2001 V8 Supercar season, the car was parked mid-practice at that year\u2019s Queensland 500 enduro after an injunction was slapped on the team by sponsor Greenfield Mowers.<\/p>\n

He last raced the car at Winton in September 2001, though acquired the car a few years ago and has returned it to its former Greenfield livery. A former Dick Johnson<\/a> Racing engine is under the bonnet.<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cIt came up for sale a few years ago and I managed to snap it up and it\u2019s sitting in my shed,\u201d says McLean.<\/p>\n

\u201cAdam Peasley, who used to work for Mark McLaughlin out at Power Torque Engines, used to come away and maintain the engines for us at the races.<\/p>\n

\u201cThrough racing dirt track out at Willowbank with the kids I heard from someone who said their father-in-law had one of my old cars.<\/p>\n

\u201cI thought it was an old Fiat or an Alfa, but it was the 2001 Falcon. We confirmed it was the right car, went and had a look, took Adam around, and we snapped it up.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s the only car that Paragon as a team built, so it\u2019s pretty cool to have ended up with it. I\u2019ve sort of split the sponsors on it, a leg on each side of the fence, neutral ground!\u201d<\/p>\n
