In a statement to foxfooty.com.au, the Swans confirmed Adams was the victim. <\/p>\n
\u201cSydney Swans player Taylor Adams was the victim of an incident across the road from an Eastern Suburbs establishment last night,\u201d the Swans\u2019 statement said.<\/p>\n
\u201cAdams was taken to hospital after the incident for further assessment. He was released from hospital at 7am Sunday morning and will be monitored on a daily basis. <\/p>\n
\u201cThe Sydney Swans does not tolerate violence in any form and is working with Adams and NSW police to identify the offender.\u201d<\/p>\n
According to a police statement, Adams lost consciousness briefly.<\/p>\n
\u201cOfficers attached to Eastern Suburbs Police Area Command attended and were told a 32-year-old man was involved in an argument and a subsequent assault with two men,\u201d NSW police said.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe 32-year-old man was allegedly punched in the face by one of the men, causing a small cut to his cheek, as well as being knocked to the ground, where he lost consciousness briefly.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe men left prior to the arrival of police. Police have been told the two men are not known to the 32-year-old man.\u201d<\/p>\n
