Barcelona capitalised on two defensive mistakes by bottom-of-the-table Real Oviedo to seal a 3-0 victory at a rain-drenched Camp Nou, regaining top spot in La Liga. Goals from Dani Olmo, Raphinha and, acrobatically, Lamine Yamal powered the Catalan club to 52 points, one ahead of Real Madrid, while Atl\u00e9tico Madrid<\/a> trail in third on 44.<\/p>\n

Bar\u00e7a struggled to break the deadlock against a spirited Oviedo until they finally found the breakthrough in the 52nd minute, with Olmo striking home following a defensive lapse. Five minutes later, Oviedo\u2019s struggles deepened, with the defender David Costas under-hitting a back-pass, which Raphinha intercepted before calmly chipping the onrushing Aaron Escandell in Oviedo\u2019s goal to double Barcelona\u2019s lead. Lamine Yamal wrapped up Bar\u00e7a\u2019s win by scoring in the 73rd minute with a brilliant acrobatic volley from an Olmo cross.<\/p>\n

Robert Lewandowski went close to breaking the deadlock in the 33rd minute, narrowly missing the target with a header from Lamine Yamal\u2019s inviting cross, as the Catalans began to find their feet.<\/p>\n

Both teams traded late first-half chances, with Barcelona keeper Joan Garcia saving a close-range effort from Chaira, while Oviedo\u2019s Escandell produced a stunning reflex stop to deny Raphinha\u2019s volley.<\/p>\n

Barcelona finally broke through after the interval, thanks to a costly error. The Oviedo defender David Carmo hesitated while attempting to clear, allowing Lamine Yamal to press and deflect the ball into Olmo\u2019s path.<\/p>\n

The midfielder calmly slotted into the bottom corner in the 52nd minute to give the home side the lead, with Raphinha extending their advantage five minutes later thanks to another self-inflicted wound by Oviedo.<\/p>\n

Lamine Yamal put the result beyond doubt in the 73rd minute with a moment of brilliance. Olmo\u2019s perfectly weighted cross found the Spanish teenager at the far post, where he leapt to score with an exquisite scissor-kick volley that nestled just inside the right post.<\/p>\n

Atl\u00e9tico cruised to a 3-0 victory over relegation-threatened Mallorca, with Alexander S\u00f8rloth scoring first, before an own goal by David L\u00f3pez and a strike from the substitute Thiago Almada ensured Diego Simeone\u2019s side leapfrogged Villarreal into third.<\/p>\n

The on-loan Real Madrid forward Endrick scored a hat-trick for Lyon as they hammered Metz 5-1 in Ligue 1<\/a> to seal an eighth successive win across all competitions. The visitors took the lead after 11 minutes when Corentin Tolisso set up Endrick, who scored his first goal for his loan club. Lyon were two ahead five minutes later through Ruben Kluivert and the former Liverpool midfielder Tyler Morton scored his second of the season with a fine strike from the edge of the box.<\/p>\n

Bottom-of-the-table Metz<\/a> hit back through Koffi Kouao but Lyon restored the three-goal lead as Endrick ran clear and finished to make it 4-1. Habib Diallo gave Metz hope of an unlikely comeback with a confident finish in the 64th minute but Endrick had the final word, converting from the spot after the 19-year-old was tripped in the area.<\/p>\n

Juventus claimed a statement 3-0 home win over an injury-hit Napoli to boost their top-four hopes in Serie A, with goals from Jonathan David, Kenan Yildiz and a late strike from Filip Kostic. The win moved Juventus<\/a> to 42 points, one behind third-placed Napoli and 10 adrift of the leaders, Inter. Juventus sit fifth, level on 42 points with fourth-placed Roma. Roma were hosting Milan in the late game.<\/p>\n

Napoli arrived in Turin with a growing injury list, having lost the goalkeeper Vanja Milinkovic-Savic to a muscle problem he suffered in training, while David Neres was ruled out following recent surgery, with Matteo Politano, Kevin De Bruyne, Andr\u00e9-Frank Zambo Anguissa and Billy Gilmour already absent.<\/p>\n

Yildiz got his goal in the 77th minute when he timed his run to meet a through ball from Fabio Miretti inside the box before calmly sending the ball past Alex Meret to double Juventus\u2019s lead and seal the match. Napoli\u2019s night got worse in the 86th minute when Kostic\u2019s long shot seemingly took Meret by surprise, with the ball going into the bottom corner.<\/p>\n

Bologna are 10 points away from Como, who are in the Conference League spot, after throwing away a two-goal lead to lose 3-2 at Genoa, who pulled six points clear of the relegation zone with a stunning comeback.<\/p>\n

Deniz Undav scored and Stuttgart bounced back from their Europa League loss at Roma with a 3-0 win at Borussia M\u00f6nchengladbach in the Bundesliga. The visitors suffered an early setback when Jamie Leweling conceded a penalty in the 11th minute when the ball hit his arm. But Alexander N\u00fcbel saved Haris Tabakovi\u0107\u2019s spot-kick and Gladbach\u2019s afternoon did not improve. Leweling atoned for his earlier faux pas with the opener in the 30th minute and Stuttgart scored a deserved second in the 68th minute when Chris F\u00fchrich\u2019s corner was deflected in off Joe Scally\u2019s back. Undav, who had entered on the hour-mark, sealed the win in the 74th minute.<\/p>\n

The former Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko scored at the age of 39 and 314 days in Schalke\u2019s 2-2 comeback draw against Kaiserlautern in the German second division to become the oldest player to score in the country\u2019s second Bundesliga<\/a>. Dzeko, who joined from Fiorentina this week on a deal until the end of the season, scored in the 87th minute to launch a last-gasp comeback for second division leaders Schalke on his debut.
