Sydney Swans<\/a> veteran Taylor Adams has issued a short statement assuring fans he is \u201cdoing okay\u201d after being knocked unconscious in an incident on Saturday night.<\/p>\n

The 32-year-old was allegedly assault following an argument with two men at a venue in Sydney\u2019s eastern suburbs, NSW Police said.<\/p>\n

Adams lost consciousness briefly and sustained a small cut to his cheek after allegedly being knocked to the ground by a man.<\/p>\n

He was attended to by NSW paramedics and taken to St Vincent\u2019s Hospital for further treatment.<\/p>\n

The Swans confirmed he was discharged at 7am on Sunday and said he would be monitored daily by club doctors.<\/p>\n

Adams did not train with teammates on Monday but shared a brief message on Instagram with a picture of a sunset.<\/p>\n

\u201cTo everyone that has sent their love, thank you,\u201d he wrote.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am doing okay.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is now a police matter and I won\u2019t be commenting further.\u201d<\/p>\n

Police are still investigating but no charges have been laid so far.<\/p>\n

Both men had left the scene before police arrived.<\/p>\n

Police were told the men were not known with Adams, while the Swans said they would work with Adams and police to identify the offender.<\/p>\n

Adams has spent his pre-season training in rehab after suffering a partial tear of his Achilles tendon in December.<\/p>\n

He was limited to just four appearances in 2025 following recurring hamstring injuries.<\/p>\n

Adams made the move to Sydney from Collingwood at the end of 2023, missing out on the Pies\u2019 premiership success that year.<\/p>\n

He also missed out on a spot in the Swans\u2019 team for the 2024 grand final defeat to Brisbane.<\/p>\n
