The deadline is Feb. 5, so they have less than two weeks to get deals done in hopes of improving the roster to build a title contender.<\/p>\n<p>Knicks have had trade talks around Guerschon Yabusele <\/p>\n<p>One player whose time in New York is almost certain to end soon is Guerschon Yabusele. He signed a two-year contract over the summer, but he has been a major disappointment on both ends of the floor, and has been out of the rotation for a large part of the season.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"858\" height=\"571\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/NBA-Boston-Celtics-at-New-York-Knicks-Guerschon-Yabusele-27409752.jpg\" alt=\"NBA: Boston Celtics at New York Knicks, Guerschon Yabusele\" class=\"wp-image-400210\"  \/>Credit: Vincent Carchietta-Imagn Images<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/clutchpoints.com\/nba\/new-york-knicks\/sources-knicks-discussing-guerschon-yabusele-trade-spurs-pelicans-others\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/clutchpoints.com\/nba\/new-york-knicks\/sources-knicks-discussing-guerschon-yabusele-trade-spurs-pelicans-others\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"(opens in a new tab)\">ClutchPoints\u2019 Brett Siegel<\/a> reported that New York has had direct conversations with teams regarding a possible trade for Yabusele.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs the\u00a0NBA trade deadline on Feb. 5 nears, the\u00a0New York Knicks\u00a0have actively been discussing several options on the trade market involving French forward Guerschon Yabusele, league sources told ClutchPoints. The\u00a0San Antonio Spurs\u00a0and\u00a0New Orleans Pelicans\u00a0are two teams with which the Knicks have recently held extensive dialogue, among others,\u201d Siegel wrote.<\/p>\n<p>Knicks are in search of frontcourt upgrades <\/p>\n<p>Siegel added that the team has expressed interest in several candidates, including Naji Marshall of the Dallas Mavericks and Jeremy Sochan of the San Antonio Spurs.
