Jamie George hopes to dish out more TikTok video fines this Six Nations as he puts his name forward to be the team\u2019s fines master.<\/p>\n
England<\/a> stars Fin Smith, Henry Pollock, Tommy Freeman and Freddie Steward went viral on the social media platform with a video of the quartet dancing to an Irish jig-type soundtrack, gaining over 22 million views on Freeman\u2019s account.<\/p>\n The dance was a punishment for the four players, and while they weren\u2019t required to post it onto social media, Freeman took it upon himself to do so anyway after England\u2019s impressive 33-19 win over the All Blacks.<\/p>\n More TikTok dances to come?<\/p>\n The video proved to be rather polarising in the public eye as many enjoyed seeing the sillier side of the players, but there were detractors too, namely former Springboks flanker Schalk Burger.<\/p>\n \u201cHe\u2019s a TikTok dancer or whatever he is and he plays a bit of rugby on the weekend,\u201d Burger said on the\u00a0Boks Unpacked. \u201cHis main gig is to be on social media.\u201d<\/p>\n Speaking at the Six Nations<\/a> launch, George<\/a> says he hopes to land the fines master gig and perhaps even punish one of the coaches with a TikTok dance. He is wary that he might need to get involved in one, too.<\/p>\n \u201cThey\u2019re a fine,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n \u201cSo the fine is a TikTok dance trend thing, if I\u2019m the fines master and I fine myself, then yes, we\u2019ll be having to do something and get innovative with it.<\/p>\n \u201cI think that was actually just off their own back [to post it]. They just quite enjoyed it. But like, you know, I think I\u2019ve created a monster by making everyone do a TikTok dance if they\u2019re late for something. I haven\u2019t actually spoken to Maro about it, but I\u2019m going to put my name forward again. I have been anyway.\u201d<\/p>\n He added: \u201cI\u2019m just hoping for the day that Steve [Borthwick]<\/a> or one of the coaches are late, that\u2019ll be quite interesting.\u201d<\/p>\n Owen Farrell gives verdict on \u2018pain in the a***\u2019 star while Ben Earl makes \u2018mellowed\u2019 claim ahead of Six Nations<\/a><\/p>\n Hostile orcas, night sweats, 17kg weight loss and learning to walk again; Ollie Phillips reveals brutal \u2018payback\u2019 of World\u2019s Toughest Row<\/a><\/p>\n Swansong<\/p>\n The 2026 Six Nations is set to be George\u2019s penultimate tournament, with the experienced hooker announcing that he will be retiring from rugby at the end of 2027, having signed his last contract extension with Saracens through to the end of next season.<\/p>\n The 35-year-old revealed that England boss Borthwick played a big role in his decision to extend his career and potentially feature in the 2027 Rugby World Cup.<\/p>\n \u201cHe was a big part of my decision, and the reason why I want to continue playing really is to be a part of a Saracens team, but also an England team that\u2019s really on the rise,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n \u201cAnd I genuinely have a huge amount of belief in what this team can do, but I have a huge belief in the coaching team and Steve and the backroom staff creating an environment that\u2019s like special and that you want to be a part of, and that\u2019s that was why it was a big part of my decision and why I want to carry on.\u201d<\/p>\n The retirement of an England \u2018legend\u2019 and what it means for the future of Saracens following a \u2018clear shift\u2019<\/a><\/p>\n Asked if his decision has changed his perspective on this championship and on the rest of the season, George replied: \u201cI don\u2019t know whether it necessarily changes.<\/p>\n \u201cIt just reinforces how special it is what I do, how much I love what I do, and how much I\u2019m going to love the next 18 months. We\u2019ve spoken a lot.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019ve never taken for granted what I do. I\u2019ve never taken it for granted, how much of a privilege it is to play in the Six Nations and represent England and all that kind of thing.<\/p>\n \u201cIt just emphasises to me that I want to love every part of the next little bit and ideally, my career will finish, in my head, in the World Cup in 2027.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m not thinking that far ahead.
