Rose Byrne and Jacob Elordi are the Australian hopefuls at the BAFTA Film Awards, Britain’s top movie honours.<\/p>\n

Action-packed dark comedy One Battle After Another leads the nominations with 14, including for leading actor for Leonardo DiCaprio’s performance.<\/p>\n

Rose Byrne is in the running for leading actress for her portrayal of a mother whose life is unravelling in If I Had Legs I’d Kick You. The star is on a roll, having bagged a Golden Globe award earlier this month.<\/a><\/p>\n

The nominations also keep coming for Jacob Elordi this awards season. He is up for the supporting actor award for his turn in Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein as the creature.<\/p>\n

Both Aussie stars have already received Oscar nominations.<\/a> The Academy Awards take place in March.<\/p>\n

Sinners received 13 BAFTA nods, including for actor Michael B Jordan.<\/p>\n

Hamnet, which fictionalises the relationship between William Shakespeare and his wife Agnes and the death of their son, followed with 11.<\/p>\n

The winners will be announced at the British Academy of Film and Television Arts Film Awards in London on Monday, February 23, Australian time.<\/p>\n
