A week after announcing a new strategy that included the cancellation of six games, the delay of seven more, and the restructuring of Ubisoft developers into five creative houses<\/a>, the publisher has announced it will increase the price of its\u00a0Just Dance+ subscription service come April.<\/p>\n \u201cOver the past few months, the Just Dance team has looked at how Just Dance+ evolves, and how we can continue to support it in a way that feels both meaningful and sustainable for players,\u201d reads an update from Ubisoft<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cJust Dance+ is built around music, and that comes with some important truths. Every song available in the service relies on licensing agreements that evolve over time, and these conditions directly affect what we can keep, renew, or add to the catalogue. Taking this into account, we\u2019ve had to make a few adjustments to ensure the service can keep growing in the long run.\u201d<\/p>\n Citing the addition of songs from\u00a0Just Dance 2023\u00a0and\u00a0Just Dance 2024\u00a0editions, the pricing of\u00a0Just Dance+ itself will increase starting in April (though new songs will be added beginning 17 February). Pricing details from April are as follows:<\/p>\n 1-month subscription: Changes from $5.95 AUD to $7.95 AUD (33% increase) New maps and camera controller support for\u00a02023\u00a0and\u00a02024\u00a0songs will also head to the subscription service in time.<\/p>\n While I loved the latest\u00a0Just Dance \u2014\u00a0its\u00a02026 Edition, to be specific \u2014 I wasn\u2019t crazy about the pricing of\u00a0Just Dance+\u00a0even then<\/a>, saying it made more sense to buy special editions of the game whenever the urge to boogie caught your fancy. Now, that advice is offered with even greater strength.<\/p>\n
