Jan. 28 (UPI) — Tyson Fury will face Russian Arslanbek Makhmudov in a comeback boxing bout April 11 in the United Kingdom, Netflix and promoters announced Wednesday.<\/p>\n

Fury, who announced his retirement in January 2025, said earlier this month that he would return to the ring. He announced four previous retirements from the sport.\n<\/p>\n

His bout with Makhmudov will air live globally on Netflix.<\/p>\n

“Excited to be back,” Fury said in a news release from Netflix. “Heart’s always been and always will be in boxing. Someone go tell the king that the ace is back!”<\/p>\n

Fury, 37, owns a career 34-2-1 record, with 24 knockouts. He lost his last two bouts in 2024 to Oleksandr Usyk. He went unbeaten through his first 35 career bouts.<\/p>\n

Makhmudov, 36, owns a 21-2 career record, with 19 knockouts. The Russian beat David Allen<\/a> in October. He defeated Ricardo Brown in June.<\/p>\n

“I am thrilled about the opportunity,” Makhmudov said. “I’m coming to deliver a war. Tyson Fury has been a big champion. I will be more ready than ever to leave with a massive W.”<\/p>\n

The venue for the bout will be announced in the coming weeks.\n<\/p>\n
