{"id":444179,"date":"2026-01-29T02:15:08","date_gmt":"2026-01-29T02:15:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/444179\/"},"modified":"2026-01-29T02:15:08","modified_gmt":"2026-01-29T02:15:08","slug":"dillon-brooks-technical-foul-vs-nets-rescinded-by-nba","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/444179\/","title":{"rendered":"Dillon Brooks&#8217; technical foul vs. Nets rescinded by NBA"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The NBA <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/NBAOfficial\/status\/2016572029915312451?s=20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">rescinded<\/a> Dillon Brooks\u2019 technical foul picked up in the Phoenix Suns\u2019 106-102 win over the Brooklyn Nets, the league announced Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>It marks the <a href=\"https:\/\/arizonasports.com\/nba\/phoenix-suns\/dillon-brooks-technical\/3608655\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">third technical foul<\/a> Brooks has had rescinded this year.<\/p>\n<p>He now sits at 14 techs on the season, just two away from triggering a one-game suspension. Phoenix has 35 games left to play this season.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI just feel like that play wouldn\u2019t have happened if they blew their whistle with the foul called, because it ended up being a foul call and then they had to give me a T after because I\u2019m trying to get the guy off me,\u201d Brooks <a href=\"https:\/\/arizonasports.com\/nba\/phoenix-suns\/brooklyn-nets\/3609881\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">told reporters<\/a> postgame.<\/p>\n<p>The technical foul call came with just 27 seconds left in the first half. According to crew chief Curtis Blair in a pool report with <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/KellanOlson\/status\/2016394443004510493?s=20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Arizona Sports\u2019 Kellan Olson<\/a>, the technical was due to Brooks pushing Egor D\u0451min to the ground after a loose ball foul.<\/p>\n<p>Brooks wasn\u2019t just called for a technical in Tuesday\u2019s game. He also picked up a flagrant 1 call in the first quarter for making illegal contact with Nic Claxton while going for a loose ball.<\/p>\n<p>Brooks currently has four on the season. Two more flagrant 1s or a flagrant 2 would result in a one-game suspension.<\/p>\n<p>Brooks was Phoenix\u2019s second-leading scorer in Tuesday\u2019s win behind 26 points on 9-of-15 shooting. He added three rebounds, three assists, a steal and a block in 34 minutes of work.<\/p>\n<p>Phoenix is back in action Thursday night against the Detroit Pistons.
