There&#8217;s a lot going on,&#8221; Tom said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I was just talking about safety of riding the bikes with my daughter and she produced that [flyer], showed me and said what&#8217;s happening in the area.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Fordham said police had been informed about the event.\ufeff<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;How will we ever get on top of this unless NSW adopts policies from other states to confiscate and destroy these machines?&#8221; Tom added.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I&#8217;ve narrowly avoided hitting two kids on the road in as many weeks.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>It remains unknown how many riders plan on attending the event.<\/p>\n<p>NSW Police told <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nine.com.au\/?rf=true\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"nine.com.au\">nine.com.au<\/a> it is aware of plans for a &#8220;large group bicycle ride through the Northern Beaches area&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>There will be a large police presence at the event, police said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Anti-social or dangerous behaviour including reckless riding, blocking roads, and putting other road users and pedestrians at risk won&#8217;t be tolerated,&#8221; NSW Police said in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;All riders need to wear a helmet, ride a compliant bike, comply with the road rules and follow the directions of police.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Inquiries into the event are ongoing.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/https:\/\/prod.static9.net.au\/fs\/54179622-663a-4cd6-b8aa-54a5055d31a2.jpeg\"   alt=\"Flyer advertising mass e-bike rideout in Sydney\"\/>This flyer advertising mass e-bike rideout in Sydney has been circulating online.
