A\ufeff representative for actor Ryan Reynolds<\/a> has stepped in to defend him, after a series of fiery texts from the star were made public last week.<\/p>\n

The private communications were included in court documents obtained as part of Blake Lively<\/a> and Justin Baldoni’s<\/a> ongoing legal dispute, and showed Reynolds referring to the latter as a “malignantly vein, sociopathic FAUXminist.”<\/p>\n

“Yes, Ryan got involved \u2013 what husband wouldn’t support his wife and the mother of his children?” Reynolds’ rep responded in a statement to Us Weekly.<\/a><\/p>\n

“He saw his wife fighting daily to stand up against sexual harassment in a private and respectful way, only to face retaliation for doing so.”<\/p>\n

In another unsealed exchange<\/a>, Reynolds labelled Baldoni a “thoroughbred, predatory fraudster” and an “inexplicably toxic mess.”\ufeff<\/p>\n

The representative stated Reynolds not only stood by these choice words, but also felt he “wasn’t angry enough,” when sending them.<\/p>\n

“[Ryan Reynolds] passionately believes in and will stand up for the basic right to a safe workplace free of harassment and retaliation for his wife and others. Then, now and always.”<\/p>\n

The explosive texts come a week after court documents from the high-profile Lively vs Baldoni\ufeff trial were unsealed.<\/p>\n

This exposed a number of messages sent to and from Lively, Baldoni and Reynolds, featuring many high-profile members of their respective inner circles \u2013 from Taylor Swift,<\/a> to Jameela Jamil.<\/a><\/p>\n

In one group exchange with Reynolds, Matt Damon and Luciana Barroso, Lively made a pointed quip regarding her and Baldoni’s It Ends With Us feud.\ufeff<\/p>\n

“This movie nearly killed me,” she wrote in the messages.<\/p>\n

“The director\/costar\/producer\/financier\/head of the studio (yes all one person) had zero experience, but the good news is he also has no taste and an enormous ego.<\/p>\n

She went on to allege that her ex-co-star was “in a cult.”<\/p>\n

“[He] believes he’s our century’s prophet. I wish even one of these things was hyperbole.”<\/p>\n

Baldoni was raised in, and is a member of the Baha’i faith; a religion founded in the 19th century that focuses on the unity of humanity and the elimination of prejudice.<\/p>\n

Lively has been enmeshed in an ongoing legal saga<\/a> with Baldoni since late 2024, following bombshell sexual harassment allegations made by the actress.<\/p>\n

Lively claimed she’d been the victim of “severe emotional distress” while on set for the film adaptation of It Ends With Us<\/a>, which Baldoni both directed and starred in alongside her.\ufeff<\/p>\n

Baldoni has vehemently denied these claims, launching a countersuit against Lively and husband Ryan Reynolds for defamation and extortion.<\/p>\n
