One of Team Canada’s goalies is dealing with an injury ahead of the Winter Olympics.<\/p>\n
Logan Thompson<\/a> is day-to-day with an upper-body injury, Washington Capitals<\/a> head coach Spencer Carbery announced Thursday<\/a>. Thompson will not dress for Washington’s game against the Detroit Red Wings, with Clay Stevenson recalled from the AHL to back up Charlie Lindgren.<\/p>\n Carbery said Thompson was injured when he was hit in the mask by a puck in Tuesday’s loss to the Seattle Kraken, although he did stay in that game.<\/p>\n Thompson, a Calgary native, is one of three goalies set to represent Canada at the Milano-Cortina Olympics next month. Jordan Binnington and Darcy Kuemper are the others.<\/p>\n Thompson has an 18-16-4 record with a .912 save percentage and two shutouts this season.<\/p>\n The NHL season will pause for the Olympics after games on Feb. 5.
