Grace Harris\u2019 28-ball fifty has powered the Royal Challengers Bengaluru into the Women\u2019s Premier League final, with her destructive knock in Vadodara eliminating former club the UP Warriorz.<\/p>\n

Tasked with chasing a modest 144-run target for victory, Bengaluru only needed 13.1 overs to get the job done, with Harris thumping a 37-ball 75 that featured 13 boundaries and two sixes. The Australian, who was dropped from the national ODI team on Thursday,<\/a> combined with captain Smriti Mandhana, who struck an unbeaten 54 from 27 balls, for a 108-run opening partnership.<\/p>\n

\u201cGrace was outstanding again, she put away anything we missed and finished it off beautifully,\u201d Warriorz captain Meg Lanning said after the match.<\/p>\n

Earlier, Harris claimed 2-22 from three overs, including the prized scalps of Harleen Deol and Chloe Tryon, to help restrict the Warriorz to 8-143 after being sent in. South African seamer Nadine de Klerk also starred with the ball, finishing with figures of 4-22, while England quick Lauren Bell produced 14 dot balls during her spell of 1-21.<\/p>\n

Lanning contributed a 30-ball 41, while opening partner Deepti Sharma hit a 43-ball 55 before the team suffered a dramatic collapse of 8-69.<\/p>\n

The eight-wicket victory sealed top spot on the WPL standings for the Royal Challengers, the 2024 champions, while the Warriorz have been knocked out of the tournament having won just two of their seven matches.<\/p>\n

\u201cDisappointing. Got a reasonable platform with the bat, but could not carry on,\u201d Lanning continued.<\/p>\n

\u201cBeen a common theme, unfortunately, in the tournament. RCB were very good; we did not quite put out our best. Every time we have gotten some momentum with the bat, we have given it away and made it easy for the opposition.<\/p>\n

\u201cNo excuses tonight. RCB played us tonight, and we were just not good enough tonight.\u201d<\/p>\n

Before Thursday\u2019s match-winning performance, Harris had contributed 43 runs across five innings for the Royal Challengers, with speculation around her form ahead of the contest.<\/p>\n

\u201cJust really glad to be classified as an all-rounder,\u201d Harris laughed after the match.<\/p>\n

\u201cWorking on a few things with my batting, happy I have reverted to old patterns, not thinking about it much, and really enjoying it. Have made some slight technical tweaks and, tactically, on how best to face certain bowlers.<\/p>\n

\u201cHave tried to not overthink and be free, and that has helped me.\u201d<\/p>\n

Earlier in the tournament, the right-hander smacked a blistering 85 against the Warriorz<\/a> during another player-of-the-match performance in Mumbai.<\/p>\n

Last year, the Warriorz released Harris following a disappointing 2025 campaign where they finished bottom of the WPL standings, with the Australian snapped up by the Royal Challengers during the recent auction for \u20b975 Lac (AU$142,000).<\/p>\n
