S\ufeffydney Sweeney<\/a> has finally addressed being labelled a “MAGA Barbie” by online commenters.<\/p>\n

The Housemaid star, 28, has been branded “Make America Great Again Barbie”, with people speculating she’s is an avid supporter of US President Donald Trump.<\/a><\/p>\n

She finally addressed what she thought about the label in an interview with Cosmopolitan<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“\ufeffI’ve never been here to talk about politics. I’ve always been here to make art, so this is just not a conversation I want to be at the forefront of,” the actress said.<\/p>\n

“And I think because of that, people want to take it even further and use me as their own pawn. But it’s somebody else assigning something to me, and I can’t control that.”<\/p>\n

When asked why she doesn’t correct the assumptions about her, Sweeney said there’s no point, because there’s “no winning.” \ufeff<\/p>\n

“I haven’t figured it out. I’m not a hateful person. If I say, ‘That’s not true,’ they’ll come at me like, ‘You’re just saying that to look better,'” she explained.<\/p>\n

“There’s no winning. There’s never any winning.<\/p>\n

“I just have to continue being who I am, because I know who I am. I can’t make everyone love me. I know what I stand for.”<\/p>\n

The Euphoria star went on to say she “isn’t a political person,” adding she never wanted to get involved in politics.<\/p>\n

\ufeff”I’m in the arts. I’m not here to speak on politics. That’s not an area I’ve ever even imagined getting into. It’s not why I became who I am,” she said.<\/p>\n

“I became an actor because I like to tell stories, but I don’t believe in hate in any form.<\/p>\n

“I believe we should all love each other and have respect and understanding for one another.”<\/p>\n

Despite wanting to stay out of politics, Sweeney always seems to be at the centre of scandal.<\/p>\n

\ufeffThe actress found herself in hot water after featuring in an American Eagle jeans campaign in July 2025, which received backlash for its “eugenics” undertones.<\/a><\/p>\n

She also faced backlash over Sydney’s Bathwater Bliss bars with Dr. Squatch \ufeffSoap, which \ufeffincluded drops of her bathwater.<\/p>\n

The move sparked backlash from women online, who said \ufeffthe soap bar<\/a> reinforced a culture where women are sexualised and commodified.<\/p>\n
