Cricket NSW will part ways with NSW Blues and Sydney Sixers Head Coach, Greg Shipperd, at the conclusion of the 2025-26 season.<\/p>\n
Shipperd\u2019s association with Cricket NSW began in 2015, when he was named Sixers\u2019 Head Coach ahead of KFC BBL|05.<\/p>\n
Across eleven seasons and 145 matches under his watch, the club won two titles in BBL|09 and BBL|10 and played in nine of 11 finals series.<\/p>\n
In November 2022, Shipperd took charge of the Blues in an interim capacity, before being appointed to the post in May 2023.<\/p>\n
The experienced mentor has strengthened the state\u2019s male program during a period spanning 31 Sheffield Shield and 22 One-Day Cup matches, which included an appearance in the 2023-24 One-Day Cup Final.<\/p>\n
Shipperd will oversee the Blues\u2019 remaining four Sheffield Shield and two One-Day Cup matches this season, and any Finals should the team qualify.<\/p>\n
Cricket NSW will commence the process to identify a new Head Coach for each of the NSW Blues and Sydney Sixers. No decision has been made on whether both positions will be held by the same coach or separated.<\/p>\n

\u201cGreg Shipperd\u2019s leadership has had a positive impact on the NSW Blues and Sydney Sixers throughout his association with Cricket NSW.<\/p>\n
\u201cHis strong work ethic and tactical nous drove the Sixers to two BBL titles and nine finals appearances in his 11 seasons at the helm.<\/p>\n
\u201cAlongside this, his experience in building strong high performance systems has strengthened the Blues\u2019 program and seen several promising young players begin their First Class careers.<\/p>\n
\u201cI would like to thank Greg for his contribution to Cricket NSW and wish him well in his future endeavours.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cDecisions to change key personnel are never easy, but we felt it was time to move in a new direction to give the Blues and Sixers the best chance to win titles.\u201d<\/p>\n
