\n\tDisney\u2019s \u201cThe Fantastic Four: First Steps<\/a>\u201d held firm at the top of the U.K. and Ireland box office for a second weekend, adding \u00a33 million ($4.1 million) and bringing its total to \u00a315.3 million ($20.4 million), according to Comscore.<\/p>\n

\n\tParamount\u2019s \u201cThe Naked Gun<\/a>\u201d reboot opened in second place with $2.4 million, while Universal\u2019s \u201cThe Bad Guys 2<\/a>\u201d stayed in third in its sophomore frame with $1.7 million, pushing its cumulative total to $6.5 million. Meanwhile, \u201cJurassic World Rebirth<\/a>\u201d continued its sturdy run, earning $1.6 million in fifth-frame takings, lifting its total to $41.9 million.<\/p>\n

\n\tWarner Bros.\u2019 \u201cSuperman\u201d added $1.6 million in its fourth week for a cume of $32.1 million. Close behind in sixth place was Sony\u2019s horror \u201cBring Her Back,\u201d which debuted with $1.6 million following limited previews.<\/p>\n

\n\tYash Raj Films\u2019 hit Bollywood romance \u201cSaiyaara\u201d continued its upward trajectory, taking seventh place with $649,168, boosting its total to $2.7 million.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cF1\u201d followed in eighth with $645,076, nudging its six-week total to $27.5 million, while Paramount\u2019s \u201cSmurfs\u201d added $469,128 in its third outing for a total of $5 million.<\/p>\n

\n\tIn tenth place was Punjabi-language comedy \u201cChal Mera Putt 4,\u201d with a $358,826 launch via Rhythm Boyz Entertainment.<\/p>\n

\n\tTwo major studio titles anchor this week\u2019s new releases. Warner Bros. will unleash \u201cWeapons\u201d on Friday, Aug. 8, a horror film opening across 300+ locations. Meanwhile, Disney revives its family-friendly magic with \u201cFreakier Friday,\u201d a new chapter in the body-swap comedy franchise. <\/p>\n

\n\tAng Lee\u2019s \u201cSense and Sensibility\u201d returns to the big screen in a 30th anniversary reissue via Park Circus, playing in over 100 cinemas. Vertigo is opening Julien Colonna\u2019s Cannes-debuting drama \u201cThe Kingdom.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cCan\u2019t Look Away\u201d is a Dartmouth Films documentary exploring society\u2019s relationship with social media, while \u201cYoung Hearts\u201d from Peccadillo Pictures is a coming-of-age drama. MusicFilmNetwork\u2019s one-day event \u201cThe Rise and Fall of The Clash \u2013 Redux\u201d celebrates the legendary punk band and Trafalgar Releasing brings \u201c#RUNSEOKJIN_EP.TOUR in Amsterdam: Live Viewing,\u201d a concert film featuring BTS member Jin. <\/p>\n
