Teofimo Lopez defends the WBO and Ring super lightweight titles against Shakur Stevenson, live on <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/prf.hn\/click\/camref:1011lfNpq\/pubref:dazngeneric\/ar:site-us-9172bac0acd9bd10b77b51a8\/destination:https%3A%2F%2Fwww.dazn.com%2Fen-US%2Fwelcome\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">DAZN<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>A former unified lightweight champion, Lopez (22-1) beat Josh Taylor for the WBO and Ring super lightweight belts. He has had some great moments headlining MSG\u2019s Theater. Now, \u201cThe Takeover,\u201d from Brooklyn, attempts to become immortalized in New York\u2019s historic venue.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe amount of knowledge that&#8217;s been bestowed in my skills, and the amount of progress I&#8217;ve been creating has really made an impact. I feel very good, excited, determined, and I can&#8217;t wait to display that on Saturday,\u201d Lopez said.<\/p>\n<p>Stevenson (24-0) is a three-division champion and looks to make a name for himself at 140. The Newark-born fighter, normally reserved, entertained when he took William Zepeda to the limit at Queens&#8217; Louis Armstrong Stadium. There was a clash of heads. Right hands started landing for Castillo. A right hand to the chin stunned\u00a0Almaayouf.\u00a0Almaayouf had his hands down by round seven. A right from Castillo hurt\u00a0Almaayouf, who held his own leading up to the eighth. Castillo won via UD (78-73, 77-74, 77-74).<\/p>\n<p>6:40 p.m. ET: Castillo gave\u00a0Almaayouf some trouble in round two, landing jabs and hooks. He worked the body in the third.\u00a0Almaayouf pushed Castillo back with jabs. By round four, both were giving it their all.\u00a0Almaayouf&#8217;s knees buckled from combinations.\u00a0Almaayouf with a body shot that had Castillo wincing.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>6:30 p.m. ET: Castillo with several jabs to start things off. It took a few minutes, but\u00a0Almaayouf landed a few clean jabs of his own.
