Leeds goalkeeper Karl Darlow could then only parryanother dangerous delivery from the England winger into his own goal before halftime.

Despite a fine run of form, Leeds remain only six points above the relegation zone.

Their first defeat at home since November was confirmed when the much-criticised Viktor Gyokeres latched onto Gabriel Martinelli’scross to blast in his 11th goal since joining Arsenal from Sporting Lisbon.

Gabriel Jesus came off the bench to round off the scoring with a blistering strike four minutes from time.

Arsenal will be hoping local rivals Tottenham can do them a favour when City visit north London, while Villa host Brentfordon Sunday.

LEEDS, ENGLAND – JANUARY 31: Declan Rice of Arsenal celebrates following the team’s victory during the Premier League match between Leeds United and Arsenal at Elland Road on January 31, 2026 in Leeds, England. For the first time in the Premier League era, Chelsea came from two down at half-time to win thanks to their captain as Fernandez netted in stoppage-time.

In what Rosenior had labelled Chelsea’s “biggest match of the season”, the Blues showed their character in memorable fashion.

They climbed to fourth in the Premier League as Rosenior became only the fourth English manager to win his first three Premier League games after Bobby Gould, Sam Allardyce and Craig Shakespeare.

Rosenior has overseen six wins from seven games in all competitions since arriving from Strasbourg to replace Enzo Maresca.

The highlight of Rosenior’s impressive start had come on Wednesday when the Blues fought back from 2-1 down to beat Napoli 3-2 in Italy, securing a place in the Champions League last 16.

But this was arguably even more eye-catching than that success, given how Rosenior turned the tide after Chelsea’s wretched first half.

Rosenior will bid to work another miracle on Tuesday when Chelsea look to overturn a 3-2 deficit in the League Cup semi-final second leg at Premier League leaders Arsenal.

Everton manager David Moyes blasted the killjoy rules that earned him a booking for sprinting onto the pitch…

[563
178577,34341,53035,228149,64,63,689,112124,6257,3464,233012,13383,69240,233010,9006,233014,233015,77918,233017,2057,596,8314,6226,2105,136013,198887,45454,233016,233005,233019,233020,233011,67609,53055,208015,2022,233013,11999,6255,233021,211654,673,3583,677,1614,233018,104864,233008,233006,6230,85,46409,670,233007,22294,233009,3586,67740
post-450760","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-football","tag-alex-scott","tag-alexander-volkanovski","tag-arsenal-football-club","tag-arsenalpremier-league","tag-au","tag-australia","tag-australia-and-new-zealand","tag-carl-recine","tag-champions-league","tag-chelsea-football-club","tag-chris-kavanagh","tag-city-of-leeds","tag-city-of-liverpool","tag-consecutive-league-win","tag-david-moyes","tag-david-pleat","tag-earning-booking","tag-enzo-fernandez","tag-epic-celebration","tag-europe","tag-football","tag-gabriel-jesus","tag-gabriel-martinelli","tag-getty-images-inc","tag-home-city","tag-home-defeat","tag-joao-pedro","tag-joyful-pitch-invasion","tag-karl-darlow","tag-killjoy-rules","tag-knee-slide","tag-last-gasp-equaliser","tag-league-games","tag-leeds-united-football-club","tag-liam-rosenior","tag-london","tag-manager-blasts-killjoy","tag-manchester-city-football-club","tag-manchester-united-football-club","tag-matt-mcnulty","tag-michael-carrick","tag-new-south-wales","tag-northern-europe","tag-oceania","tag-premier-league","tag-relegation-fight","tag-relegation-zone","tag-scottish-manager-david","tag-side-avoidedrelegation","tag-sporting-lisbon","tag-sports","tag-stoppage-time","tag-sydney","tag-technical-area","tag-title-race","tag-triple-halftime-substitution","tag-united-kingdom","tag-yellow-card
["GET
