Eeli Tolvanen<\/a> and Jared McCann<\/a> also scored, while Chandler Stephenson<\/a> had two assists and Joey Daccord<\/a> made 27 saves for the Kraken (26-19-9), who have won their past four games and five of their past six.<\/p>\n

“We haven\u2019t had bad periods,” Tolvanen said. “We know [the standings are] pretty tight. I don\u2019t think we should look at it that much. We just want to play as many games as we can.”<\/p>\n

Ivan Barbashev<\/a> and Mitch Marner<\/a> scored, while Jack Eichel<\/a> tallied two assists and Schmid made 20 saves for the Golden Knights (25-15-14), who have lost six of their last seven games (1-4-2).<\/p>\n

Tolvanen scored at 6:50 of the first period, roofing a rebound off a Ryan Winterton<\/a> shot over Schmid’s left pad to make it 1-0.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe talked about our starts,\u201d Kraken coach Lane Lambert said. \u201cThe guys have done a good job of making sure that they\u2019re ready to go. It\u2019s not that they weren\u2019t before, but there\u2019s just a little extra focus that we had to have. They\u2019ve done it.\u201d<\/p>\n

McCann pushed it to 2-0 at 13:04 on the power play. McCann got the quick pass at the right circle from Vince Dunn<\/a> and elevated the puck over Schmid glove side with a snap shot.
